The Arkas Art Center was founded under the direction of Lucien Arkas, Chairman of Arkas Holding, to share the amazing Arkas Collection with the community. The centre is in a historically important part of the building that used to be the French Honorary Consulate and faces the sea. It brought fresh life to this architectural treasure in November 2011 after undergoing a thorough repair.

How To Reach Arkas Art Centre

Arkas Art Centre is located in Kültür, 1380 . Sk. 3-1, 35230 Konak/İzmir inTürkiye, and these are ways you can reach. 

1. By Car: From İzmir city centre, you can take the Cumhuriyet Boulevard and continue onto Mustafa Kemal Sahil Boulevard. Turn left onto 1380. Sk. and continue for approximately 400 meters. Arkas Art Centre will be on your right. This route covers a distance of 4.5 kilometres and takes about 15 minutes.

2. By Tram: From İzmir city centre, you can take the İzban line to Alsancak station. From there, transfer to tram line 2 and ride until the Kültürpark stop. Then, walk south along 1380. Sk. for about 300 meters to reach Arkas Art Centre. This journey takes approximately 30 minutes in total.

3. By Bus: If arriving by bus, catch any bus that passes through Konak. Get off at the Konak Meydanı stop. From there, walk northwest along Atatürk Caddesi and turn right onto 1380. Sk. Continue for approximately 500 meters, and the bus journey will take you around 20 minutes.
