How To Reach

• By Road: The Egyptian Bazaar is located in one of the oldest neighbourhoods of Istanbul. It is situated in the centre of the Old City area, Eminönü. From the city centre, it is around 2 kilometres away. 
• By Bus: Istanbul's extensive bus network connects the city centre to Eminönü, where the Egyptian Bazaar is located. Both public and IETT buses operate to Eminönü and Beyazıt. From here, the bazaar is a 5-minute walking distance away.
• By Tram: The T1 tram line runs through many of Istanbul’s key areas, including Sultanahmet, Kabataş, and Bağcılar, stopping at Eminönü. From here, the bazaar is 2 kilometres or a 10-minute walk away. 
• By Metro: While the metro doesn’t go directly to Eminönü, the M2 line connects with the T1 tram line at various points, such as Şişhane. The line links Yenikapi and Haciosman through Taksim. You can transfer to the tram to reach Eminönü station. From here, the bazaar is 10 minutes away.
• By Train: For those coming from within Turkey or the European side of Istanbul, the Marmaray line is an efficient choice. Get off at Sirkeci Marmaray Station, which is approximately 2 kilometres (7 minutes) from the Egyptian Bazaar. 
• By Ferry: One of the most picturesque ways to arrive is by ferry from various points like Kadıköy, Üsküdar, or Bostancı on the Asian side. Ferries dock at Eminönü, leaving you with a short and pleasant walk to the bazaar. The ferry ride offers stunning views of the Istanbul skyline and takes 15-20 minutes from the Asian side.

• Best Day: To avoid the weekend rush and have a more serene experience, visiting on weekdays is recommended. This is when the atmosphere is relaxed, letting you explore the market leisurely. Additionally, the market remains open for longer hours during the weekdays (08:00 a.m. to 07:30 p.m.), giving you more time to enjoy shopping. 
• Best Time of the Day: Early mornings, between 08:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., are when the bazaar is at its most tranquil. This is when the shop owners are more available for detailed conversations about their goods. The morning light also adds a magical touch to the bazaar's ambience. Furthermore, with freshly stocked goods, this is the best time to buy local spices and other items.
