Traveller Tales From Nashik

We took a bus from Mumbai at 9 am in the morning which was supposed to reach Nashik at 2. The bus broke down on the way and we reached at 5. We took an auto from the bus stop till the soma serviced apartment. We were given a room after waiting for 15 minutes. The soma winery is 15 km from the serviced apartment. You can get an auto to drop you till there in about 300 bucks. The tour is for one hour every hour starting from 11:30 am in the morning till 6:30 in the evening. Since we reached pretty late, we opted for the last slot i.e. 6:30 pm. Soma vineyard is farthest of all the vineyards that are there. We were not given a tour of the vineyard since it was pretty dark by then and also muddy due to rains. The inside refinery tour was for half n hr. We tasted 5 wines - 1 red, 2 white, 1 rose, 1 dessert. The restaurant there had some issues so we had to go to York winery for dinner. There was no conveyance available at that point of time. We walked all the way till York in the dark for 2 km. After dinner we managed to get an Uber which dropped us back to the serviced apartment. The details are not enough in the itinerary. People are not very responsive and entertaining.

Vine touring is famous these days, and yes this is actually great at Nashik, I forced my boyfriend to take me to this place as my college buddies had been there already and were praising like anything. We as a couple enjoyed this tour completely, if you have to enjoy you need to stay for a couple of nights. We were lucky that we visited this place during the vine festival time and so we got to a chance to taste some of the best varieties of vine over here, in fact my boyfriend bought many new varieties of vine for our close friends. Nice place to visit.

It was a nice trek. Being in Nashik on a vacation, we decided to take this. Although we knew the place in and out we wanted to go with professionals as it was about trekking and we were happy to have done that. The only disappointment was that there wasn’t much discounts.

It was a very delightful experience for our group. The trek guides kept us informed about the terrains and also made the hikes easy for us by giving some simple tips. The beauty of the Harihargad Fort was truly divine and thanks for arranging the entire trek so nicely.

Wine stay and tasting experience was indeed a new experience for me. I went with family. Wine tasting session was nice. Stayed there and enjoyed different kind of wine on the first floor. Clean air and peaceful environment. Loved the entire tour.

The trek was not so tough but you can expect a lot of fun and excitement during the hike; especially the 117 steps. Reach the fort and take your own time to discover its rustic charm. Seriously, there are lot to explore and enjoy in this trek.

The place is excellent for couple and with friend. The ambience of resort and garden is quite mesmerizing. The cool breeze helps you relax. The excellent quality of wine tasting and its procedures help you to gain some knowledge.

Well maintained, nice managed and good food with personal attention. It is located in natural beauty and best times is during monsoon and winter season. It is advised to plan weekend here anytime. Er. Harshad More

We booked the trek recently. And within a few days, we got to experience it. In addition to the blissful trekking experience, we also enjoyed the views a lot and also had wonderful peaceful moments at the fort.
