By Road: Patnitop is located at a distance of around 45 km from the centre of Udhampur district. You can easily reach the town by car in approximately 1 hour and 11 minutes via the NH 244A/NH 44 route.

By Rail: You can take a train from Jammu Tawi to Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Station in Udhampur, which is the nearest railway station to Patnitop. Once you reach the station, you can get a taxi to reach the town in approximately 1 hour 13 minutes, covering around 45 km.
