Wangchuck Wildlife Sanctuary

The sanctuary was officially announced and opened to the public in June 2008. Prior to this, the place was a Contennial Park. It is the largest wildlife park in the Kingdom of Bhutan and is one of the greatest resources of Bhutan’s economy. The park typically shows the characteristics of the Himalayan ranges, blue pine and alpine being the major vegetation of the landscapes.

It covers an area of 4919 sq km and borders 5 districts of Bhutan namely Bhumthang, Gasa, Dzongkhags, Trongsa and Wangduephodrang. Like all other national parks of the country, Wangchuck also inhabits few of the greatest endangered species of Flora and Fauna.

Melbourne Zoo

Melbourne Zoo is Australia's oldest zoo and was modeled on London Zoo. The zoo was opened on 6 October 1862 at the Royal Park site in 55-acre (22 ha) on land donated by the City of Melbourne. Before this, animals were housed at the botanical gardens in Melbourne. Visitors can see historical cages, including the heritage listed Elephant House, which has been renovated and adapted for use for customers paying to sleep overnight in tents at the zoo in popular Roar and Snore evenings. These evenings allow the public to see some of the nocturnal animals at the zoo in evening guided tours by keepers. One of the most famous exhibits was Quinine the elephant. The zoo is set among flower gardens and picnic areas. Many of the animals are now organized in bioclimatic zones: African rainforest featuring gorillas, mandrills, pigmy hippos and parrots; Asian Rainforest with tigers and otters; and the Australian bush with koalas, kangaroos, emus, echidnas and endangered hairy-nosed wombats.

Taronga Zoo

Taronga Zoo is one of the best zoological park in Sydney, New South Wales in Australia. The zoo was opened on 7th October 1916 and is among the best places to explore different types of wild animals.

 

Location: Taronga Zoo is located in the shores of Sydney Harbor in the suburb of Mosman. To reach the zoo, you can use public transport which is easily available or private vehicles if you please.

Highlights: Taronga Zoo has different animal species nearly about 340 species and more than 2600 individual animals. You can also hire the venue to organize any functions or events with a 180 degree and peaceful view of the Sydney harbor making those events truly memorable.

Best time to visit: Taronga Zoo is open daily including the Christmas days. The visiting hours are 9:30 am-4:30 pm in the month of May to August, 9:30 am-5:00 pm from September to April and on new year's eve 9:30 am - 4:00 pm. You need to plan your trip accordingly to the timings of the zoo.

Cleland Conservation Park

If you want to experience the natural and cultural beauty of Adelaide, the visit to Cleland Conservation Park is a must. The area includes the renowned Cleland Wildlife Park, the Mount Lofty Peak and the famous Waterfall Gully. There are walking as well as cycling trails that let you enjoy the varied wildlife and picturesque view of Adelaide hills.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Voted as one of the most popular tourist destinations, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has been the crown of National Trust of Australian properties. Enlisted also as one of the earliest nature-basedtourists spots of Queensland, this Sanctuary is an embodiment of all that the NTAQ represents: conserving Indigenous, historical and natural heritage and cultures. Blinky Bill is now present for the daily shows thereby making the total experiences worth paying a visit. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the ultimate spot to visit when on a holiday adventure with the family or loved ones.

 The four identifiable areas in the main sanctuary comprise of three on the eastern side of the highway: original sanctuary site on south of Tomewin Street, reserve lands around Flat Rock Creek, picnic ground and car park on the north of Tomewin Street and an area of land on the west of Gold Coast Highway, popular as the Western Reserve. A tunnel under highway links eastern and western sides of the sanctuary.

Things to do: Catch the free flight bird show and go on the absolutely eco-friendly Segway Safari or visit the wildlife hospital and visit the sanctuary market. The best time to visit is in end of October and from 11 onwards.

Bronte park is a famous recreational space for families in Sydney. It has many great facilities and promises you a delightful experience. This is among the must visit tourist attraction while you are in Sydney. What most people like about the place is that it also has a beach in the park so people can enjoy it too.

The park is located at the east end of Bronte road in the Bronte region itself.

Perth Zoo

Located at the banks of Swan River about 5 minutes from Perth CBD, lay the Perth Zoo. The Zoo remains open every day of the year and as per records it has never been closed from the day it was opened in 1898. It is quite large an area so if the program is for half a day then one may lose out on essential part of the zoo, so an ideal tour would be for a full day. Almost all types of animals are available here with all coming from different parts of the globe. There are Asian animals, African, Australian, South American and not to forget a whole range of love fauna and a wide range of unique plants. The entry fee of the zoo is different for individuals and for groups. However for child below 4 years of age the entry is free. There are membership cards and citizen concession card which allows great discounts. Educational programs and events are organised here too which are especially good for the kids.

Chikmagalur is a paradise for nature lovers. This is a place that one can sit back and relax. I wanted to take a relaxing weekend away so chose to stay in the estates. It was a worthy and amazing experience. It was very refreshing and pleasant to stay in an estate instead of normal hotels.

Camping was great, at night it was damn cold, the temperature was too down. first day we stayed in the hotel but the next day we stayed in camps but it was a great fun.We just loved the diversity of the wildlife that has about 50 mammal species, 580 bird species, 25 reptile species and 110 tree species.I was a wao feeling for all of us.

Though it was my solo trip but before returning i made many new friends in the camp.Talking about the park then, let me tell you guys its so decorated with lush greenery and dense forests all over it that expands to more than 500 sq km and falls in the lap Himalaya. Best place for your trekking and holiday adventure.

My money spent on this trip was totally worth it and i strongly recommend this as a holiday point for you.Especially i liked that ride on the houseboat, which is a typical and very famous tourist attraction in Kerala and you gonna love that too.

i wish, i were stayed there a bit more, i never wana return from there, it was a great feeling to be at the highest point of this trek which is Gandala. Everything was looking so small.Overall i loved it
