The weather and the location was beautiful. You would really feel like sitting in the lap of nature. Coffee plantation around adds to the beauty. The flowing river and chirping of birds sound melodious and relaxing. No luxury but the greenary of the surroundings makes it worth it.

It was a wonderful trek. Booking was seamless because of thrillophilia. All the trek leads were friendly and supportive. Weather was pretty hot at this time of the year. Overall it was a good experience and fun trek.

KP trek was on my go to list since long time and it feels really great when i actually started the journey from Bangalore. Excited and thrilled to be a part of this amazing trek covered with greens and scenic mountains all across the trails. This trek is one of the hardest ones in south india. If you want to get a full end to end experience of a trek this is the place to start. Right from get go there are a lot of things to take care of like the things you carry as they are strict about the plastics, weight of the bag, amount of water, type of clothes etc., You get to experience camping in the middle of the forest and understand that only few things actually matter. The experience was great, met many other solo trekkers and had the best time of my life !!

The sense of accomplishment at the summit is unparalleled. Unpredictable Weather (★★★★☆): Kumara Parvatha’s weather is always unexpected, but we were fortunate to enjoy clear skies. However, we missed the sunset at the forest camp office. Nature's unpredictability adds an element of adventure to the journey. A Lifesaver: Drinking Water (★★★★☆): Access to drinking water at two key points, Bhima's Rock and nearby waterfall 2.5 km from the trek's starting point, made a significant difference. The second water source near Kallina Mantapa was especially crucial. Staying hydrated is a top priority during such a demanding trek. Strict Safety Instructions (★★★★☆): The trek leaders' stern safety instructions may have bruised a few egos, but I believe it's better to have strict guidance. In challenging treks like Kudremukh and Kumara Parvatha, safety is paramount. Following instructions is vital to prevent accidents and potential trek closures. Essential Gear (★★★★☆): Carrying 2-liter water bottles, a headlamp, and snacks like dry fruits and Glucon D is mandatory and wise. Such items proved valuable in dealing with unexpected delays, which are common on trekking expeditions. Not for Newbies (★★★★☆): Kumara Parvatha is not suitable for beginners unless they are consistently fit and work out. The trail's difficulty level demands physical endurance and prior trekking experience. A Memorable Experience (★★★★★): Despite the challenges, I thoroughly enjoyed the trek. The pristine beauty of the Western Ghats, the sense of accomplishment, and the promise of a return for the elusive sunset view make Kumara Parvatha a memorable adventure. My overall rating is 4.5 out of 5, with room for improvement in communication and adhering to time. In conclusion, Kumara Parvatha offers an exhilarating and demanding trekking experience, and it's one I look forward to repeating. While it's not for the faint-hearted, those who are well-prepared and willing to follow the trek leaders' guidance will find it to be an unforgettable journey in the heart of South India's stunning landscapes.
