The journey began with the enchanting city of Udaipur, fondly known as the City of Lakes. Its beautiful lakes, grand palaces, scenic surroundings, heritage architecture, and romantic atmosphere made it one of the highlights of the trip. The visit to Mount Abu was equally refreshing, with its pleasant hill-station climate, lush green landscapes, beautiful viewpoints, and serene surroundings offering a lovely contrast to Rajasthan's desert terrain. Jaipur, the Pink City, impressed us with its magnificent forts, palaces, colourful markets, and rich Rajput heritage. The city's historic charm and architectural splendour offered a glimpse into Rajasthan's glorious royal past. Pushkar provided a peaceful and spiritual experience, with its sacred lake, temples, and vibrant local culture. Our visit to Bikaner introduced us to the region's distinctive desert culture, magnificent Junagarh Fort, traditional architecture, and authentic Rajasthani flavours. Jodhpur, the Blue City, was another spectacular destination, with the imposing Mehrangarh Fort, beautiful blue-painted houses, historic streets, and the majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace showcasing the grandeur of Rajasthan's royal legacy. The journey continued to Agra, where witnessing the magnificent Taj Mahal was a truly special moment. Its timeless beauty, intricate craftsmanship, and architectural perfection were simply mesmerising. The spiritual journey through Mathura and Vrindavan added a different dimension to the trip. Visiting the sacred places associated with Lord Krishna, experiencing the devotional atmosphere, and exploring the beautiful temples brought a sense of peace and fulfilment. Overall, this journey was a perfect combination of Rajasthan's royal heritage, lakes and hills, magnificent forts and palaces, desert culture, historical wonders, and spiritual destinations. Good Rajasthan experience we covered Jaipur and Udaipur in 5 days. City Palace in Udaipur was stunning and the lakeside dinner was a lovely touch. Hotel in Jaipur was excellent. The Udaipur hotel was a bit further from the city centre than we expected but transport was provided. Overall a well-managed trip.
