Best Camping Experiences in Sakleshpur

A quick relaxing and thrilling place 

River Side Campaign is not done because of Rain, but the place is surrounded by lush green, we can dive deep into nature. It is far from the city and Auto driver charges 700rs one side. The resort manager helped us to get auto easily. Food and activities are good. You cannot expect river front camping apart from that everything is nice. We went for a short trek nearby.

Awesome place for one day trip... Location was excellent. Staff were kind.

I Loved this camping experience. Upon Arrival, we got the welcome drink and tents were allotted to us. we packed our lunch already. So, after the lunch we headed towards activities. We went for kayaking first and enjoyed a lot. Then, we played cricket, volleyball and Mud Volleyball. Mud volleyball was fun because we have never played like this. it was like going back to childhood. then, we went to rain dance. Rain dance was not very appealing as the water flow was very less and extremely cold. Then, we went for ziplining. I must say, this was one of an experience. We went to get freshened up as all activities close by 6pm. we were served with Tea/Coffee with hot crispy fritters. After some time, the Bonfire started and it was very much needed. The nights are very cold here. Around 9pm, Dinner was served. Food was good. After dinner, we again flocked back to the bonfire. In the Night, they informed that they would leave for trekking at 7am. In the morning, we were 10 minutes late in getting ready for trek. So, we decided to go for trek by our own. We went to trek following the Jeep Tyres and then, we found another way to reach the top of the peak nearby. we enjoyed the trek and came back on time to have our breakfast. Overall, this was an amazing experience.

The overall stay was satisfactory. The staff was courteous and friendly. It was full of activities and the trek in the morning had me. Would love to stay again if more washrooms are provided and maintained well.

"Staff at the home stay were friendly courteous and helpful . A good number of activities were offered at the campsite -Kayaking, Zip lining , trekking , archery , badminton and many more . Kayaking was very relaxing and is a must try, early morning trek was also impressive .\n\nQuality of food was decent . Also the home stay staff were quite happy to help setup a barbecue on request which made the stay all the more enjoyable .\n\nNote: Last 3km leading to the site is slushy and may be difficult manoeuvre using a car meant for the cities."

The drive to the location is scenic and if you love driving, then it is a double-treat. We reached around 2 PM in the afternoon last weekend and yes, it was raining but intermittently. We enjoyed the rainy weather a lot. Kids had an absolutely wonderful experience with some of the activities on site like playing in the slushy mud, rain dance, and of course we spend a good amount of time in the water stream that passes around this camping site. No, it's not a river... it is a big water stream that flows from the hills around the site. The staff is extremely helpful, and Aditya who manages the site is a great person. He can also talk in Hindi and English fluently, not just Kannada. So, you will never have to worry about communication issues. The food was super delicious all through lunch, dinner and breakfast... served hot. In fact, when we arrived at the site we were the only guests there and that earned us brownie points in specifying the menu for both lunch and dinner. We did not stay in the tents that were available as we had two kids who were less than five years old and didn't want the weather to affect their health. Next time for sure though. The cottages were well-maintained and we stayed in one of them. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking with the stream flowing right in front of the cottages. Overall, a fantastic place to unwind and relax... and have fun with the various activities. A big thank you to the staff for making our stay a memorable one. I for one would surely like to revisit this place and stay for more than a day. And, in the rainy season! Cheers!
