Cradled in the Southern end of Rajasthan, Sirohi is one of the most well-known cities for its picturesque landscapes. Standing at an average elevation of 321 meters, it is named after the Siranwa Hills in the Western Slopes, on which the city itself stands.

Sirohi is one of the most beautiful and unique places of visit in Rajasthan. Situated on the Western Slopes, the city is surrounded with mountain ranges and hilly terrain which is unlike most parts of traditional attraction in the state. The city nonetheless retains its Rajasthani flavour with its inimitable city-planning designs and rural life.

Sirohi, besides being surrounded by hilly terrain, is also home to many forts and temples akin to the typical Rajasthani town. The temples are predominant in the town, the most famous being Jiraval Temple, Karodi Dhwaj Temple, Madhusudan, Mungthala and Patranarayan Temple, Mirpur Temple, Pavapuri Temple, Sarneshwar Temple and Vasant Garh. The city itself is a crisp slice of traditional Rajasthani life, and something as simple as a walk through the town is enough to rejuvenate your soul.

Sirohi predominantly experiences a dry to semi-arid climate. Despite the elevation of the mountains, summers can be very oppressive in Sirohi with temperatures running beyond the 40 degree Celsius mark. The best time to visit the city is January-April and July-December, the latter being more feasible with relatively pleasant temperature variations.
