Omaruru happens to be a settlement located in the Erongo Region of Central Namibia. With 14000 inhabitants, the city is spread over an area close to almost 352 square kilometers. This place is usually visited during the time when the annual festival is organised by the Herero People to commemorate their past local chiefs.

The city overlooks the beautiful Mount Erongo ranges and the dry Omaruru River. With vast spread wineries, you will be able to capture brilliant showcases of natural beauty all around.

Some of the popular sites of the most sought after Namibia places to visit that you should not miss out on during your trip are Kristall Kellerei Winery which  is a lovely spot to come for lunch, Main Street Cafe famous for its Quiche, hazelnut cheesecake, white-wood furniture, Franke Tower which has a historical plaque and affords a view over the town, and mArte Gallery which is popular for its arts-and-crafts outlet.

The Omaruru is located at an elevation of 1215 meters above the sea level. The climatic condition of this place is much more like a desert type with virtually no rainfall during the year. The annual average temperature is recorded at 22.1 degree celsius.
