About Okahandja
Okahandja happens to be a city that is located in the Otjozondjupa Region in Central Namibia. It is also the district capital of Okahandja Electoral constituency. Popularly known as the famous garden town of Namibia, this city was founded in 1894 by the cooperation of two local groups named as Herero and the Nama.

It is one of the quaint places to visit in Namibia that is home to some of the important historical significance of the nation. This place has served the German run miss and colonial administrative centre in the past.

During your visit to Okahandja, you must visit Moordkoppie which is a historical site with reference to the historical animosity between the Nama and the Herero, Friedenskirche which is a famous church housing the graves of several historical figures, and Bäckerei Dekker & Café which is a famous German cafe and bakery serving tasty breakfasts and lunches.
