About Keetmanshoop
Keetamanshoop is a city in Southern Namibia under the Karas Region. It lies on the TransNamib Railway network that connected Windhoek to Upington in South Africa. The city was named after a famous German industrialist and benefactor of the bygone era named Johann Keetman.

Keetmanshoop is a beautiful city that is very much unique because of its Quiver Tree Forests, fossil hunting grounds and giant playgrounds which are surrounded by the best of the desert landscape.

Keetmanshoop’s popular sites are the giant playgrounds which offer picture perfect view of the desert landscapes as well as clever rock formations all around, Town Museum which is known for housing the 1895 Rhenish Mission Church, and Kaiserliches Postamt which is widely held for its German colonial architecture.
