Experiential journeys will make you a storyteller
About Devprayag

Devprayag is considered to be one of the holiest regions in Uttrakhand. It is situated in the district of Tehri Garhwal, and it is considered to be the confluence point of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda that together form the Ganga river. According to Hindu Mythology, it is believed that King Dashratha and Lord Rama used to perform self-mortification over here.

This is a famous pilgrimage site that soothes the soul of the visitors with its divine allure and magnificent beauty. Nestled amidst the Himalayas, it offers solitude to the visitors with its scenic vistas and ethereal beauty. It is dotted with high mountain passes and offers a magnificent view of Dasharatha Chal Peak.

Devprayag is home to some of the most famous temples, such as Chandrabadani Temple, Kyun Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple, and Raghunath Ji Temple, which offer spiritual bliss to the visitors. Dashrath Shila is another well known Hindu shrine over here where Lord Dashratha performed penance. One of the best places to visit in Devprayag is Teen Dhara that has been named after the three small lakes nearby and offers picturesque views to the visitors.

If you're looking for some of the best things to do in Devprayag, then bathe into the feeling of devotion and spirituality at Raghunathji Temple. You can also try rock climbing at Dashrathshila to have an adrenaline-pumping experience.

Devprayag experiences pleasant weather all year round, but it's best to visit this place during summer due to the clear sky and warm weather. Winters over here are frigid and freezing, but you can enjoy the weather with appropriate clothing. August to September is the monsoon season over here, and the beauty of this place multiplies tenfold during this season.  The average temperature in Devprayag ranges between 18-31 degrees Celsius.

The tour went really well. Devprayag has been the hub of Hindu Culture. We don't want to miss the visit to this place. With Thrillophilia’s itinerary, we saw a completely different Devprayag by learning rich history begging each place we had visited.

We were so keen to see the confluence of two rivers but the cost to go there was much higher and then we saw this tour and booked this and had a chance to see more than we had expected.
