Oh! What a fun game it was. We had to build bridges and form a circuit and there we had to race our cars. Communication is a must for during with team members as well as other teams. Nice for bonding with you team as well as improve your stability and understanding.

We were 40 team members who went on this outing, it was really great to be out with your colleagues after a long time. The activity which we did was interesting too, we had to be very careful while building the bridge. Very good game to show your creativity skills as well.

Overview

Activity insights:

Remoto Challenge is a one part collaboration and one part competition. Teams work together to build bridges that form the circuit and then race RC cars around the track and try and win the best time!

What are the Takeaways

Teams must put on their creative hats and design and build a sturdy bridge that can sustain 2 cars. The weight must be well distributed through all the pillars and columns to ensure stability and strength. This takes planning, testing and a lot of out of the box thinking to make sure no failures or collapse happen. Teams must also collaborate with other teams when building so that the circuit is well laid out without sharp corners or steep drops/climbs.

How it is done

Working with equal props, teams are given the basic ideas on how bridges work. They can choose to build any type of bridge that can be built with the provided resources. The circuit must be sturdy all around and constant improvements are needed to ensure the longevity of the bridge. Teams work against time, resources and the comply with the laws of bridge constructions and ensure all teams complete on time.

The event concludes with the teams going head to head with RC cars. Proper F1 qualifying rules apply to ensure grid positions for the race and. Finally, the teams line up on the grid and its go go go all the way to the chequered flag!

Our team building activity was really great. We had a very skilled instructor; he was very detailed while explaining the game to us. While building the bridge we had to be careful about the bridge so that it can hold two cars together. A good amount of cross team communication is required.
