Lachung Sightseeing Tours

Sikkim is a gem. Coming from Ahmedabad, the hospitality in Lachung was mind-blowing. Thrillophilia’s itinerary was very well-paced. We loved the evening walks on MG Marg. Everything was organized perfectly.

Leaving behind Mumbai’s busy life, the peaceful monasteries of Sikkim felt truly calming. Thrillophilia arranged all permits in advance, making travel smooth. The Yumthang Valley stay was the highlight, and the hot, fresh food added comfort in the cold weather.

This February was special and I can think of a hundred thousand reasons to state that. However, one reason that made it really worth my while was touring the whole of Sikkim and Darjeeling in a span of just 7 days. Last year we got married and touring Sikkim and Darjeeling was long in my mind. We had also booked our tickets but 2020 splashed water on our honeymoon plans. But, after a long, strenuous wait of 1 year we celebrated our anniversary amidst the scenic waterfalls and verdant green mountains of Sikkim. And, all thanks to thrillophilia for arranging such a marvelous trip that will be forever etched in my heart. They made arrangements for the most fret-free stays in clean resorts that really take sanitization seriously, and view the most picturesque spots. We went to Tsongmo Lake and clicked an array of pictures of the Brahminy ducks.

This tour gave us the chance to visit the world’s second highest lake Gurudongmar along with the magnificent Tsomgo Lake enroute Nathu La. The entire 6-day long tour was so romantic, I went just after my marriage and every day was so beautiful. We had an amazing location every single day, starting from Tsomgo lake to Nathula at around 14190 feet above sea level, from crossing the twisty mountain roads of Chungthang to Kanchenjunga National park; loved every bit of this tour. The tour has so much to offer that you would long for a free day to relax.

The valley of flower in Yumthang valley is such a pretty sight, you just fall in love with every trail of this valley. We had an early morning breakfast of egg fry and bread butter in Thangu while coming from Lachen. North Sikkim is truly a riot of colors and a maze of the landscape that will make a permanent imprint on your mind. Manu was the best guide we both could ever have, he knew the best dhabas for refreshments and tea and took us to off-the-beaten trails even on an organized tour.
