Rajasthan Packages

Reviewed by Thrillophilia Rajasthan Operations Team

Updated as of June 2026

Rajasthan tour packages start from INR 19,230 per person for a 6-day itinerary and go up to around INR 35,000 for a 9-day multi-city Rajasthan journey, depending on the destinations covered, hotel category, travel season, and package inclusions.

With Thrillophilia's curated Rajasthan tour packages, travellers can explore some of the state's most iconic destinations, including Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Ranthambore, Pushkar, and Mount Abu. From visiting landmarks such as Amer Fort, City Palace, Mehrangarh Fort, Lake Pichola, and Jaisalmer Fort to enjoying experiences like desert camping, camel safaris, hot air balloon rides, wildlife safaris, and cultural performances, these itineraries are designed to showcase Rajasthan's heritage, landscapes, and local culture.

Our Rajasthan packages include carefully selected accommodations, daily breakfast with vegetarian options, selected meals as per the itinerary, sightseeing tours, private or shared transfers, and dedicated trip assistance. Travellers can also customise their Rajasthan tour itinerary by upgrading hotels, adding destinations, or including activities based on their budget and travel style.

Backed by over 23,000 Rajasthan trips successfully executed and 8+ years of destination expertise, Thrillophilia maintains a consistent 4.6 traveller rating based on verified reviews across stays, transfers, sightseeing experiences, and on-ground support. Our Rajasthan trip itinerary team regularly updates routes and inclusions using traveller feedback and destination insights, ensuring every Rajasthan holiday package is practical, well-paced, and built around real travel experiences.

What Is Included in a Thrillophilia Rajasthan Tour Package

Every Rajasthan tour itinerary is customised differently, but most packages generally include:

  • Accommodation in carefully selected 3-star, 4-star, heritage, or premium hotels
  • Daily breakfast and selected meals as per the itinerary
  • Private or shared transfers between destinations
  • Sightseeing tours, as mentioned in the package
  • Driver allowances, fuel charges, parking fees, and toll taxes
  • Dedicated trip support before and during travel
  • Assistance with itinerary customisation and activity bookings

What Is Usually Not Included

  • Airfare or train tickets, unless specifically mentioned
  • Entry tickets to monuments and attractions
  • Personal expenses such as shopping, laundry, and room service
  • Optional activities such as hot air balloon rides, ziplining, and luxury desert experiences
  • Travel insurance
  • Meals not specifically mentioned in the itinerary

Rajasthan Trip Cost: A Realistic Budget Breakdown

The overall Rajasthan tour package cost depends on a few key decisions, most significantly your hotel category, whether you choose private or shared transport, and the season you travel in. Many travellers underestimate how intercity distances affect costs. Routes like Jaipur to Jodhpur cover roughly 330 km and take 6 to 7 hours by road, so choosing too many cities in a short trip increases cab costs and reduces actual sightseeing time.

Prices may increase by 20–40% during the peak travel season between October and March.

Hidden Costs Travellers Often Miss

Our destination experts flag the following Rajasthan tour package costs that frequently catch first-time Rajasthan travellers off guard. Understanding these additional expenses gives travellers a more realistic estimate of their total Rajasthan trip cost beyond the package price.

• Desert camp stays in Jaisalmer: INR 3,000 to INR 8,000 per person per night

• Entry tickets for major forts and palaces: INR 500 to INR 2,000 in total

• Optional activities (camel safari, boating, hot air ballooning, ziplining): INR 500 to INR 3,000 per activity

• Tips, small expenses, and local snacks

Best Time to Visit Rajasthan

Every season in Rajasthan offers a distinct experience. Thrillophilia's seasonal insights are based on recurring traveller feedback across our 23,000 executed Rajasthan trips. Choosing the right travel window can make a significant difference to both your comfort and your Rajasthan tour package cost.

Peak Season (October to March)

Temperatures range between 10 degrees Celcius and 27 degrees Celcius, making this the most comfortable period for sightseeing across Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Jaisalmer. For those planning their Rajasthan tours for camel safaris, fort walks, and city tours without heat discomfort, this is the best time to visit. Cultural events like the Pushkar Camel Fair and the Jaisalmer Desert Festival fall within this window. Peak tourist inflow pushes hotel prices up by 20 to 40 per cent, and popular desert camps in Jaisalmer book out quickly. Early booking is essential.

Monsoon Season (July to September)

Moderate temperatures between 24 and 35 degrees Celcius, with occasional rainfall. Landscapes around Udaipur and Mount Abu turn noticeably greener, and the cities have fewer crowds. Hotel prices drop by 15 to 30 per cent, making this the ideal window for budget travellers. Desert activities in Jaisalmer may be limited, but the Rajasthan Monsoon Trip package is specifically designed to make the most of this season.

Summer (April to June)

Temperatures reach 32 to 45 degrees C, especially in desert regions like Jaisalmer and Bikaner. Wildlife sightings at Ranthambore National Park are at their peak during dry conditions, as animals gather around water sources. Off-season hotel discounts of 40 to 50 per cent are available. Daytime outdoor sightseeing is challenging; early morning and evening tours work best. Hill retreats like Mount Abu offer a cooler alternative within the same trip.

How to Reach Rajasthan

Rajasthan is easily accessible by air, rail, and road, with strong connectivity to major Indian cities. Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer are well linked through regular flights, trains, and highways, making travel across the state convenient for both domestic and international visitors. Here are some of the most common ways you can consider during your Rajasthan trip.

By Air

Rajasthan is served by 5 operational airports. Jaipur International Airport is the primary hub with domestic and limited international connectivity. Other airports at Udaipur (Maharana Pratap Airport) and Jodhpur connect major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. International travellers generally fly via Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi (approximately 250 to 260 km from Jaipur) and continue by domestic flight or road.

By Rail

Rajasthan has over 4,600 km of railway track connecting it to all major Indian cities. Key junctions are Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, and Udaipur City Railway Station. Rajdhani and Shatabdi services link Rajasthan with Delhi, Mumbai, and other metro cities daily. Rail is the most cost-effective intercity option and is particularly useful for the Jaipur to Delhi or Jaipur to Jodhpur stretches.

By Road

Rajasthan has over 150,000 km of road network, including 20 national highways. NH-48 connects Jaipur, Udaipur, and Ajmer with Delhi and Mumbai. RSRTC and private buses, taxis, and self-drive options offer good connectivity from Gujarat, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh. Private cabs remain the most practical option for multi-city Rajasthan itineraries, offering flexibility for early morning fort visits and late afternoon desert arrivals.

Popular Destinations to Visit on a Rajasthan Tour

Here are the best places to visit in Rajasthan:

Udaipur: The City of Lakes

Located within the Aravali ranges, the beautiful city of Udaipur is surrounded by seven lovely lakes and contains some of the most beautiful structures of Rajasthan. The City Palace by Lake Pichola is the centrepiece, with a complex that includes museums, courtyards, and stunning lake views. A boat ride at sunset is among the most memorable experiences in Rajasthan. One should not miss the Jagdish Temple, which is famous for its intricate carvings, and Saheliyon Ki Bari, which is famous for its marble pavilion and fountains. Travellers who spend at least 2 nights here consistently report a more relaxed and complete experience compared to those who rush through in a single day.

Jaipur: The Pink City

Jaipur opens most Rajasthan itineraries for good reason. The Amer Fort, situated 11 km from the city, is a UNESCO-listed hilltop fortress that combines Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. The Hawa Mahal with its 953 latticed windows, Jantar Mantar with the world's largest stone sundial, and the evening light show at Nahargarh Fort together give a rich overview of Jaipur's heritage. Shopping in Bapu Bazaar for juttis and block-printed textiles, or attending a traditional Rajasthani evening at Chokhi Dhani makes any Jaipur tour package worth 2 full days.

Jodhpur: The Blue City

Mehrangarh Fort, rising 400 feet above the city on a sheer rock face, is arguably the most dramatic fort in India. Built in 1459 by Rao Jodha, it houses well-preserved museums, royal palaces, and sweeping views of the iconic blue-painted houses below. Adventure travellers can zipline across the fort's battlements between 9 AM and 5 PM for INR 1,699 to INR 2,000 per person. The Clock Tower market area is ideal for local snacks like Pyaaz Kachori and Mirchi Vada before a rooftop dinner with fort views. Since Jodhpur sits conveniently between Jaipur and Jaisalmer, it remains a key highlight across many Rajasthan tours covering the state's most iconic heritage destinations.

Jaisalmer

The golden sandstone fort at Jaisalmer is one of the few living forts in the world, with over 3,000 residents still occupying its lanes. Patwon Ki Haveli with its 60 ornately carved balconies, and Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli showcase the craftsmanship of a different era. Desert camping at Sam Sand Dunes, with cultural performances and a Rajasthani dinner under the stars, remains one of the most sought-after experiences in Rajasthan. This is why we include desert camping in many Rajasthan itineraries, ensuring travellers do not miss one of the region's defining highlights. Many visitors are surprised by how memorable the experience turns out to be. As Tanvi Azmi, who travelled on the Golden Triangle Tour | Delhi Agra Jaipur, shared, "Camping under the stars with traditional music was the highlight of our entire journey." Staying 2 nights gives time for both the fort and the desert without rushing either.

Customer Insight: Thrillophilia’s local guides also share fascinating insights about Jaisalmer Fort and other historical palaces, including how parts of the fort were constructed using interlocking sandstone techniques with minimal cement usage, an architectural adaptation to the desert region’s water scarcity.

Ranthambore

Home to one of India's most accessible Bengal tiger populations, Ranthambore National Park covers over 1,300 sq km with 10 safari zones. Jeep and canter safaris run twice daily (morning 6:30 to 10:00 AM, evening 2:30 to 6:00 PM) and cost between INR 1,400 and INR 3,500 per person for Indian nationals. The adjacent 10th-century Ranthambore Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Safari zone allocations are random, and sightings depend on zone assignment; booking 30 to 45 days in advance is strongly recommended for October to March travel.

Mount Abu

Mount Abu is the only hill station in the state, and it offers a noticeably cooler alternative within the same Rajasthan tour itinerary that you’re choosing. Nakki Lake, the Dilwara Jain Temples with their intricate marble carvings, and trekking routes through the Aravalli hills make this a good 2-night addition for families and couples.

Pushkar

Centred around the sacred Pushkar Lake and its more than 50 ghats, this small town is one of the rare homes of a Brahma Temple in India. The evening aarti is a spiritual experience that draws travellers year-round. During the Pushkar Camel Fair, over 200,000 visitors gather for what is one of the world's largest cultural gatherings. Pushkar is best visited as a day trip from Jaipur or combined with a longer Rajasthan circuit.

Things to Do on a Rajasthan Trip

Here are the best things to do in Rajasthan:

Desert Camping in Jaisalmer

Swiss tents near Sam Sand Dunes with a Rajasthani dinner, folk dance, bonfire, and stargazing make desert camping one of the most requested experiences on our Rajasthan packages. Check-in is generally at 4 PM with check-out at 10 AM the following morning. Prices range from INR 1,000 to INR 10,000 per person, depending on camp category and inclusions. The Best of Rajasthan package with a free Jaisalmer camping experience, starting at INR 35,200, is our most popular option for travellers who want the complete desert experience included.

Wildlife Safari in Ranthambore National Park

Morning and evening jeep safaris across Ranthambore's 10 zones are the primary draw for wildlife enthusiasts. Morning slots (6:30 to 10:00 AM) generally offer better sighting conditions. Beyond tigers, the park supports leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, and over 300 bird species. Entry for Indian nationals costs INR 1,400 to INR 3,500 per person by jeep or canter. Advance booking is non-negotiable during peak season.

Hot Air Ballooning in Jaipur

Aerial views of Amer Fort and the Aravalli hills from a hot air balloon are available during early morning (5:30 to 7:30 AM) and evening (4:30 to 6:30 PM) slots. Flights last approximately 60 minutes and are weather-dependent. Prices range from INR 13,500 to INR 50,000 per person, depending on the operator and package category. Many Rajasthan tours include hot air ballooning as an optional experience, particularly for travellers looking to combine heritage sightseeing with a unique aerial view of Jaipur's forts, palaces, and surrounding landscapes.

Camel Safari in Jaisalmer

Traditional camel rides through sand dunes with village interactions are best timed for sunrise (6:00 to 8:00 AM) or sunset. Rides generally last 1 to 2 hours with half-day options available. Prices range from INR 400 to INR 3,000 per person. Desert safaris are time-bound and weather-sensitive; camel rides for sunset views generally begin around 3:30 to 4:30 PM.

For many travellers, a camel safari is their first real introduction to the Thar Desert beyond the forts and cities. Since it remains one of Rajasthan's most sought-after desert experiences, we often incorporate it into our Jaisalmer itineraries to ensure travellers do not miss this iconic part of the region. As Binal Patel, who booked our Jaipur, Jodhpur & Jaisalmer | Journey Through Royal Rajasthan package, later told us, "The camel safari in Jaisalmer was the best part for the kids, Thrillophilia made sure our transport was top-notch," highlighting how memorable the experience can be for travellers of all ages.

Ziplining at Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur

Multiple ziplines across the fort's battlements offer a unique aerial perspective of the blue city below. Sessions last 1.5 to 2 hours. Available daily from 9 AM to 5 PM. Prices range from INR 1,699 to INR 2,000 per person. Often included as an optional adventure activity in Rajasthan tours, this experience combines panoramic views of Jodhpur's blue-painted neighbourhoods with a chance to witness one of the state's most iconic forts from a completely different angle.

Shopping in Jaipur

Johari Bazaar is one of the best places to shop in Rajasthan for gemstones, gold, and silver jewellery. Bapu Bazaar is better for Bandhani fabrics, juttis, and block-printed textiles. Blue pottery is a Jaipur speciality worth looking for in dedicated craft stores. Best shopping hours are 11 AM to 8 PM. Budget INR 500 to INR 10,000 depending on what you're buying. Bargaining is standard in most non-fixed-price stores; always verify authenticity for gemstones and antiques.

Sunset Boating at Lake Pichola, Udaipur

Boat rides with views of the City Palace and the Lake Palace are available from multiple jetties. Municipal rides cost around INR 180 per adult for 20 minutes. City Palace jetty departures cost INR 400 to INR 600 for regular rides, while sunset cruises range from INR 700 to INR 850 per person. Best timing is 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

Key Attractions on a Rajasthan Trip

Here are some of the best attractions to visit in Rajasthan:

Amer Fort and Palace, Jaipur

Located 11 km from Jaipur, Amer Fort is a UNESCO-listed hilltop fortress known for its grand courtyards and the intricate Sheesh Mahal. Visitors reach the fort by jeep or elephant ride. The evening light and sound show brings its history to life. The Panna Meena Ka Kund stepwell is a 10-minute walk from the fort entrance.

Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur

Rising 400 feet over the city, Mehrangarh is one of Rajasthan's most impressive landmarks, built by Rao Jodha in 1459. The fort houses well-kept museums, royal palaces, and panoramic viewpoints. The zipline experience runs over the fort's rugged landscape for a unique aerial view. Inside, the view of the blue-painted houses spreading below is one of the defining images of Rajasthan.

Jaisalmer Fort

A living fort with over 3,000 residents, Jaisalmer Fort is best explored at sunrise or sunset when the golden sandstone glows against the desert landscape. Busy lanes inside are filled with temples, cafes, and local shops. Visit early in the morning for the best light and to beat the afternoon heat.

Kumbhalgarh Fort

Home to a 36 km wall, the second longest in the world, Kumbhalgarh Fort is the birthplace of Maharana Pratap. Set in the Aravalli hills, the fort offers panoramic views and an evening light and sound show. It is approximately 1.5 hours from Udaipur and works well as a day trip.

City Palace Udaipur

A must-visit spot in every Udaipur tour package, this grand palace complex sits directly on Lake Pichola and is famous for Mor Chowk, its three-dimensional mosaic peacocks crafted from 5,000 pieces of glass. The Mewar Light and Sound Show in Manek Chowk courtyard narrates 1,500 years of the Mewar dynasty's history every evening.

Ranthambore National Park

Covering over 1,300 sq km, Ranthambore is India's premier location for Bengal tiger sightings. The park has 10 safari zones accessible by jeep or canter. Wildlife sightings are most frequent during the summer months when animals concentrate around water sources. Morning safaris between 6:30 and 10:00 AM offer the highest sighting probability.

Lake Pichola, Udaipur

An artificial freshwater lake created in 1362 AD, Lake Pichola is the centrepiece of Udaipur. Boat rides cost approximately INR 180 per adult for a 20-minute municipal ride. Sunset cruises from the City Palace jetty range from INR 700 to INR 850 per person.

Jantar Mantar, Jaipur

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar features 19 astronomical instruments, including the world's largest stone sundial. Built in the 18th century, it is located close to Johari Bazaar in Jaipur's old city.

Having planned and operated thousands of Rajasthan tours over the years, our destination experts have seen that local food often becomes one of the most memorable parts of the journey. From royal recipes passed down through generations to street food that locals swear by, Rajasthan offers a diverse culinary experience for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian travellers.

Vegetarian and Jain Food Options

Rajasthan is one of the easiest destinations in India for vegetarian travellers. Most restaurants offer extensive vegetarian menus, and Jain food is widely available in major tourist cities like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Pushkar.

At Thrillophilia, we understand that food preferences are an important part of travel planning. Our Rajasthan tour packages include daily breakfast, with vegetarian options readily available across hotels and stays. Depending on the package selected, additional meals, such as dinners at desert camps or at selected hotels, may also be included. Our team can also help accommodate vegetarian and Jain meal preferences wherever possible and recommend trusted restaurants known for authentic local cuisine throughout your trip.

Average Food Cost in Rajasthan

  • Local eateries and street food: INR 100 to INR 300 per person
  • Casual restaurants: INR 300 to INR 800 per person
  • Heritage and fine-dining restaurants: INR 1,000 to INR 3,000+ per person

Our destination experts often recommend trying local specialities in each city rather than searching for the same cuisine everywhere. Safety Advisory for Rajasthan

These are practical notes compiled from our on-ground team's experience across thousands of Rajasthan trips.

• Desert heat and dehydration: Jaisalmer and Bikaner regularly reach 45 degrees C in summer with very dry air. Carry 2 to 3 litres of water per day and electrolyte supplements, as you may not feel thirsty in the dry heat.

• Temperature drop at desert camps: Between November and February, desert areas can drop by 15 to 20 degrees C after sunset. Carry a jacket or shawl even if the daytime feels warm.

• Road travel times: Jaipur to Jodhpur is around 330 km and generally takes 6 to 7 hours due to single-lane highways and village crossings. Start early to arrive in daylight.

• Avoid intercity road travel after 8:30 PM on stretches like Jaipur to Jodhpur and Jodhpur to Jaisalmer, where highway lighting is poor and fuel stops are limited.

• Fort visits require walking: Mehrangarh Fort and Amer Fort involve significant walking, especially during summer midday visits. Comfortable footwear and water are essential.

• Wildlife safari protocol: Ranthambore safaris operate in fixed zones. Tiger sightings are not guaranteed; follow guide instructions strictly and avoid noise or standing during sightings.

• Network and ATM availability: Desert camp areas and highways between cities may have patchy mobile coverage. Keep hotel contact numbers and some cash accessible at all times.

• Local market awareness: Shopping areas in Jaipur and Udaipur see heavy tourist footfall. Bargaining is expected, but verify authenticity carefully for gemstones, antiques, and handicrafts.

• Cultural sensitivity: Dress modestly in smaller towns like Pushkar and in rural areas. Covering shoulders and knees is recommended for temple visits throughout Rajasthan.

• Festival crowd management: During the Pushkar Camel Fair and the Jaisalmer Desert Festival, hotel prices surge 30 to 50 percent and accommodation fills quickly. Book at least 60 days in advance.

Why Book Your Rajasthan Trip with Thrillophilia

Additionally, one of the biggest advantages of travelling with Thrillophilia is access to our experienced on-ground operators and local destination experts. Rajasthan's forts, palaces, temples, and historic cities are filled with fascinating stories that many travellers miss when exploring on their own. Good Rajasthan experience we covered Jaipur and Udaipur in 5 days. City Palace in Udaipur was stunning and the lakeside dinner was a lovely touch. Hotel in Jaipur was excellent. The Udaipur hotel was a bit further from the city centre than we expected but transport was provided. Overall a well-managed trip.

Rajasthan Tour faqs

What are the best places to shop in Rajasthan?

Rajasthan is one of India's best destinations for handicrafts, textiles, jewellery, and traditional souvenirs. Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar in Jaipur are popular for gemstones, jewellery, Bandhani fabrics, block-printed textiles, and leather juttis. In Jodhpur, the Clock Tower Market is known for spices, handicrafts, and local snacks, while Jaisalmer's Sadar Bazaar is ideal for leather goods, mirror work, and desert handicrafts. Budget-conscious shoppers can find souvenirs for a few hundred rupees, while premium jewellery and handicrafts can cost significantly more.

6 Days Rajasthan Itinerary: Jaipur, Jodhpur & Udaipur

Thrillophilia's Rajasthan tour packages start from INR 19,230 per person for a 6-day itinerary and typically range up to INR 35,000 for longer 8 to 9-day multi-city Rajasthan tours. Package prices vary based on factors such as the destinations covered, hotel category, travel season, transport type, and included experiences. Travelling during the peak season between October and March may increase costs due to higher demand for hotels, desert camps, and heritage stays, particularly in destinations like Udaipur and Jaisalmer. Customisations such as premium accommodations, wildlife safaris, and adventure activities can further influence the overall package cost.

Is Rajasthan safe for solo female travellers?

Yes, Rajasthan is generally considered safe for solo female travellers, particularly in popular tourist destinations such as Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, and Jaisalmer. Basic precautions like avoiding isolated areas late at night and using verified transportation are always recommended. When travelling with Thrillophilia, you benefit from pre-arranged private transfers, verified drivers and local partners, carefully selected stays, and 24/7 on-ground assistance throughout your trip. Our destination experts also help plan routes and sightseeing schedules efficiently, allowing solo travellers to explore Rajasthan with greater convenience, support, and peace of mind.

Which are the best romantic places to visit on a Rajasthan tour?

Here is a list of some of the most romantic places you explore as part of your Rajasthan tour packages:

1. Udaipur: One of the best places included in Rajasthan packages, Udaipur, with its many lakes and palaces, makes for the perfect honeymoon destination for couples. You can walk through the many forts that have a rich history, or simply watch the lights of the city reflected in the lakes as you enjoy a meal in an open-air restaurant

2. Jaisalmer: Jaisalmer is one of the most iconic places in Rajasthan, where you can ride camels, camp in the desert, go shopping, explore the forts, and have as many authentic Rajasthani experiences as you possibly can with your significant other, and this should be a part of your Rajasthan tour packages that spells magic

3. Mount Abu: Mount Abu is a natural paradise, with its mountains and hills and stretches of greenery where you can lounge, trek or hike. It is also home to several quaint resorts that offer romantic services such as candlelight dinners and couples’ activities.

4. Jodhpur: The natural rusticity of Jodhpur makes it the perfect recluse for couples who want to spend some time with each other amid nature. Jodhpur also has many luxury resorts and heritage monuments, which makes for a colorful stay. Make sure you have enough time in the itinerary of your Rajasthan holiday packages to include this.

You can also take a look at: Rajasthan Tour Under 10,000

Do I need to book the Ranthambore safari in advance?

Yes. Safari bookings for Ranthambore open in advance, and popular zones, particularly Zones 1 to 5, fill quickly during peak season. Booking at least 30 to 45 days in advance is recommended for October to March travel. Morning safaris between 6:30 and 10:30 AM generally offer a higher sighting probability compared to evening slots.

Are Rajasthan tour packages customisable?

Yes, Thrillophilia Rajasthan tour packages can be customised based on your budget, travel style, and preferred experiences.
