Lalpari Lake Overview
One of the most exotic picnic places to visit in Rajkot, Lalpari Lake is located on the outskirts of the city. Constructed in 1895 as a part of Victoria Golden Jubilee Water Works, the lake is around 0.9 square kilometers in size. The astounding beauty of the lake amplifies against the backdrop of hillocks covered with lush greenery. In addition to the landscape, the lake attracts some rare species of migratory birds.

The Lalpari lake is popular among locals as a picnic spot and tourists as a bird watching venue. You can spot beautiful birds such as black-tailed godwit, rosy pastor, common teal, pheasant tailed jacana, purple moorhen, pelican, and spoonbill. The surreal beauty of the lake at sunrise and sunset makes it a must-visit spot for nature lovers. The area is clean and well maintained enhancing the tranquility of the place.
