The tropical Bali weather has two major seasons including dry and wet season. While the dry season continues from May to September, the wet season in Bali can be relished between October to April. If you wish to enjoy both sun and surfing, embark on your Bali trip in the mid-year period.

Though the city witnesses a humid climate throughout the year, you can get some relief from the humidity in the months of June and August. It is an ideal time to visit Bali if you want to be a part of its popular kite season when the sky gleams with numerous colourful Balinese kites. During the sacred month of Ramadan, Bali witnesses a quiet season when the roads get clear of traffic, and you can feel the serene vibe of the city. If you want to get further details about the climate in Bali, here is a brief rundown of Bali temperature round the year.

Main Seasons In Bali:

Dry Season

May month marks the onset of the dry Bali season which continues till August. It is the time when the humidity level touches the lowest point. So, you don’t have to wipe your sweat every now and then amidst the city tour. During this period, the air turns slightly drier and makes a perfect environment for sightseeing trips. The entire city appears pleasant with clear turquoise skies and lush green surroundings. In the dry season, you can also relish different outdoor activities, including landscape photography. A Bali trip during this time is ideal for people looking for adventure and fun.

Rainy Season

The rainy season is hailed as the low season in Bali when you won’t see many travellers swarming to this tourist magnet. This season falls on the first and last quarter of the year, i.e., from January to March and October to November. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in an affordable package, the rainy season is an appropriate time to plan your Bali trip. With the onset of rain, the beauty of Bali reaches its peak. From its lush green landscapes to sparsely populated roads, Bali looks no less than a paradise in the rainy months.

Best Time To Visit Bali

High Season

If you are not looking for a peaceful escape, visit Bali when the weather here is in its best form. July and August are regarded as the high seasons in Bali. Apart from these two months,  you can also visit here during the Christmas holidays or new year. This is the time when the beaches see a huge influx of vacationers from all across the globe. For all the adventure junkies and vacationers, this is an ideal time to indulge in adrenaline sports at beaches of Bali. Apart from adventure sports, one can also invest enough time in sightseeing.

Low Season

Bali city appears to be a sleeping paradise in the rainy season with quieter roads and unpopulated beaches. During this time, the sea gets rougher, and water currents pick up. It is a perfect time to visit the city if you are a nature seeker who wishes to witness the charm of Bali after the heavy downpours. The hotels and flight tickets also get affordable in this low season, and if you don’t want to splurge a lot on your holiday tour, there could not be a better time to plan your Bali trip.

Best Time For Honeymoon

August marks the onset of delightful Bali weather. The entire city remains dry this month. This is when you can explore around without being fearful of unpredicted rains. It is also one of the best times to plan your honeymoon in Bali as the beaches remain open for adventure activities like snorkelling, rafting, and swimming. So, if you are looking for a fun getaway with your partner, embarking on a Bali trip during August month is quite a good idea. However, don’t forget to make an advance booking as it will save you from the last-minute hassle.

Climate Around Central Bali And Volcano

If you compare the central area of Bali with the lower coastal area, it is cooler and wetter. During the night time, you will witness a significant drop in Bali temperature near the volcanoes. The region surrounding Ubud is even cooler and receives more rainfall than southern parts of Bali including Denpasar, Sanur, and Seminyak. This is why it is regarded as the best place to experience the pleasant climate of Central Bali.

Best Time For Watersports

Summer season is the ideal time to visit Bali for all the adventure junkies who want to indulge in offbeat activities. It is this season when Bali climate turns pleasant, and the island experiences low humidity and a minimum amount of rainfall. Particularly, in the August month, you will be spoiled for choice with a plethora of adventure sports such as snorkelling, swimming, and river rafting. If your Bali trip is primarily focussed upon adventure activities, visiting here in the month of August is the most viable option. Due to lack of proper drainage in Bali, streets might get affected by minor flooding. During this month, the days will be cloudy, humid, and wet. The minimum and maximum daily temperature remain unchanged at 25 and 30 degrees respectively. This is not considered as a perfect time to explore the beaches as they might get polluted due to the strong current which carries trash along with itself.
