How to Reach:

To reach Siliguri, if traveling by air, Bagdogra Airport is the nearest and most well-connected to major Indian cities. For a train journey, New Jalpaiguri Railway Station serves as a major hub. If coming by road, Siliguri is accessible via well-maintained highways from nearby cities.

Day 1
Arrival at Siliguri & Transfer to Phuentsholing | Welcome to Land of the Thunder Dragon

Reach at the pre-decided spot and meet your fellow travelers in Siliguri from where our local representative will help you with the transfer to Phuentsholing. On completing the immigration process. After that, the driver will drop you off at the pre-booked hotel in Phuentsholing. Check in to the hotel and take some rest the rest of the day is at your leisure and you’ll be free to explore the beautiful Local Markets of Phuentsholing. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Phuentsholing.

Transfer in Innova, Tempo Traveller
  • Our representative will pick you up from the Siliguri Airport/Railway station and will help you with the transfer to Phuentsholing.
  • After completing the immigration process the driver will drop you off at the pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2
Phuentsholing to Paro | The Scenic Valley Town of Bhutan

After having the heartwarming breakfast, proceed towards Paro, reach Paro, and check into your hotel the rest of the day is at leisure for self-exploration and visiting the local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

  • Ride from Phuentsholing to Paro and Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3
Excursion to Taktsang | A Beautiful Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)

Start with a healthy breakfast and ride towards the base of the trail to Tiger's Nest from where a 6.5 km hike will take you to the monastery. The trail climbs through a beautiful pine forest and groves of fluttering prayer flags to reach Taktsang. Take a break at Taktsang Cafeteria located mid-way and then climb 700 steps at the last leg of the hike. If you do not wish to do the Tiger Nest trek visit the local markets, after which, ride to the hotel in Thimphu for dinner & overnight stay.

  • Ride towards the adventures hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest).
  • Post-trekking ride back to the pre-decided hotel in Thimphu for an overnight stay.
Activity: Hike to Taktsang
  • The trail climbs through a beautiful pine forest and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags to reach Taktsang Monastery.
  • The Monastery was built around Guru Rinpoche's meditation cave & clings to the edge of a rock cliff that plunges 900 meters into the valley below.
  • You can then visit Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower, which now houses the National Museum below which is the Paro Rinpung Dzong (literally meaning “Heap of Jewels”).
  • Proceed for a short walk to the base of the dzong and across a traditional cantilevered, covered bridge.
Day 4
Thimphu to Punakha via Phobjikha | The Juncture of the two Beautiful Rivers

Enjoy your breakfast in the hotel and start your ride to Phobjikha, On the way take a stopover at Dochula Pass, as we reach Phobjikha visit Gangtey Gompa Monastery and Phobjikha Valley and after that, we will start our journey to Punakha, En-route we will cover Chimi Lhakhang, also known as “the Temple of Fertility”, Punakha Dzong situated between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River) and Punakha suspension bridge. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Punakha.

  • Ride towards the beautiful valley of Phobjikha.
  • After all En-route sightseeing ride back to the hotel in Punakha for an overnight stay.
Activity: Local Sightseeing
  • If the weather is clear, we stop for a while at Dochula Pass to view the Higher Himalayas.
  • Next, proceed to Gangtey Gompa Monastery from the outside which is a Nyingmapa monastery that still incorporates the old order of local religious practices.
  • You’ll then explore Phobjikha Valley, famous for the Black-necked Cranes during winter.
  • On the way, to Punakha visit Chimi Lhakhang, also known as “the Temple of Fertility”, built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley who subdued the demons with his “Magical Thunderbolt”.
  • Visit Punakha Dzong situated between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River) which for many years until the time of the second king, served as the seat of the Government.
Day 5
Punakha to Thimphu | Explore the Capital & its Rich Culture

Wake up this morning and enjoy a delicious breakfast at the Hotel and pack your bags as today we'll ride back to Thimphu, reach Thimphu and check into your hotel, freshen up, and visit the local beauties of Thimphu which will include the Folk heritage museum, Buddha Dordenma statue, Thimphu view point and enjoy the amazing nightlife of Thimphu. Dinner and overnight stay in Thimphu.

  • Ride towards the capital and after checking in get ready for a local sightseeing tour.
  • After the Local sightseeing ride back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Activity: Local Sightseeing
  • Visit The Folk Heritage Museum dedicates itself to connecting people with the rich Bhutanese Folk heritage and rural history through exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs, and documentation of Bhutanese rural life.
  • Also, visit the largest Buddha Statue that overlooks the beautiful Thimphu.
  • Later, visit Thimphu viewpoint for an amazing view of the nightlife of Thimphu.
Day 6
Thimphu to Phuentsholing | Wave Goodbye to the Land of Thunder Dragon

Have your delicious breakfast, and start your ride towards Phuentsholling today is the last day in Bhutan, reach Phuentsholling and drop off the bikes after that we will travel to Siliguri and say our goodbyes to Bhutan, reach there by the evening, check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Siliguri.

  • Post breakfast, ride towards Phuentsholing where you will submit your bikes.
Transfer in Innova, Tempo Traveller
  • Continue your journey to Siliguri in a shared vehicle where on arrival check in to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Departure from Siliguri | Head Back Home With Amazing Memories

The day begins with the morning breakfast. Post breakfast, pack your bags, and check out from your hotel. Take home a bundle of memories as your desired vacation comes to an end.

Know Before You Go for Bhutan Bike Expedition | Phobjikha Punakha & Phuentsholling

  • Please carry valid Ids and the Thrillophilia voucher.
  • Please depart on suggested timings to avoid any inconvenience.
  • International / Domestic flights are not included in the package
  • Visa assistance will be provided however charges are not included
  • Travel Insurance is recommended and charges are not included
  • Personal Expenses and mandatory hotel taxes (if any) will be paid by the travelers at the destination.
  • We have right to cancel the group if we do not get minimum strength of riders in any group
  • If there is any additional expenses due to bad weather or any other reason beyond the control of the tour operator on account of hotel stay, transportation, and meals etc. extra bill will be raised. Neither Thrillophilia nor the participating partners/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses
  • If any group member wants to leave group in-between the tour then he/she has to pay the cost for transportation of bike from point of leaving the tour till Phuentsholling
  • Group members would have to get own riding gears
  • All guests will be responsible for safety and security of their own luggage. We will not be at all responsible for the damage/missing / lost luggage. So carry a small daypack bags to carry all expensive things with you
  • Compensation for any damage/accident done by you during tour to others property/person would be directly payable by you
  • Road closure/blocks due to snow accumulation on the highway, which may effect the safety or smooth operation of the the tour may result in change of itinerary or cancellation of the trip
  • Wearing a helmet, carrying a valid ID proof & Driving license is mandatory
