One of the oldest temples in the state, Devi Talab Mandir is one of the most popular religious places to see in Jalandhar. The origins of the temple belong to the religious scriptures which say that the right breast of Devi Sati had fallen at the location of the temple. Over the years, many foreign invaders tried to capture this temple but they failed to do so. The temple has deities of Lord Shiva and Goddess Kali which are over 200 years old. The temple organises the very popular Harivallabh Sangeet Sammelan in the month of December which is visited by many Goddess Kali followers. A joint project of the Indian Central Government and Punjab Government, this place was built to invite enthusiasts to explore the various fields of life like science, agriculture, technology, engineering, human evolution and many more.
