14D/13N: Delhi-Jaipur-Ajmer/Pushkar-Devigarh/Udaipur-Jodhpur-Jaisalmer-Deshnoke/Bikaner-Kuchaman-Samode-Delhi

This tour includes visit to some of the historical sites around Old and New Delhi. After visiting these sites, the journey will head towards the elegant cities and towns of Rajasthan.

Excursion in Rajasthan will start from Jaipur, the desert capital or the pink city of India, and will continue to various other locations in the Thar Desert region. While cruising through the desert areas, the visitors will be visiting some of the exquisite palaces and stupendous forts. Pristine and beckoning ambience of these places will greet the visitors in their own traditional ways and will surely etch a memory that will last forever in the minds of the visitors.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Samode - Delhi (245 Kms - 4 Hours by Road)

    After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven towards Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, you will be transferred to the airport, whereby your elegant Rajasthan tour will approach to an end.

  • Day 2 - In Delhi

    Chandni Chowk,  Raj Ghat,  Qutub Minar

    After breakfast, you embark upon a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi.  The capital of India, Delhi, takes you into a journey of discovery. With boutiques and shops showcasing the best in contemporary and traditional crafts from all over the country to restaurants offering cuisines from all over the world, it is truly a traveller’s paradise.

    In Old Delhi, you start with one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid and then proceed to the Red Fort followed by the most famous shopping area in Delhi, the Chandni Chowk. Then you visit Mahatma Gandhi’s cremation site, the Raj Ghat, followed by Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and Lakshmi Narayan Temple. India Gate, Rashtrapti Bhawan, Parliament House and several other Governmental Buildings will be visited after Lakshmi Narayan Temple.

    Overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 3 - Delhi – Jaipur (260 kms - 06 Hours by Road)

    Jantar Mantar, Rickshaw ride, Turban culture

    After breakfast, you leave for the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur by road. The imperial journey in Jaipur will start with the ‘Palace of Winds’ or the Hawa Mahal. After unfolding the architectural marvels of Hawa Mahal, visit Jantar Mantar and the Central Museum.

    Amber, the ancient capital of Rajasthan will be visited next. A rickshaw ride through the colourful lanes of the city will make you familiar with all the corners of the city. Visit the famous Birla Temple in the evening.

    Return back to the hotel; stay overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 4 - Jaipur 

    Amer Fort, City Palace

    After breakfast at the hotel, you go on a half-day excursion to one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture, the Amer Fort. Explore the never-ending glory of Amer Fort and some other spectacular halls within the fort.

    Diwan-e-Aam or the ‘Hall of Public Audience’, Diwan-e-Khas or the ‘Hall of Private Audience’, Sheesh Mahal or the ‘Hall of Mirrors’ and the Sukh Niwas, the private chambers of the queens with windows having latticed screens, are the attractions of Amer Fort.

    You then visit the City Palace, now a museum, except for a part, which is still being used by the Royal Family. Following this you go to the largest stone observatories in the world. Overnight stay at a hotel.

  • Day 5 - Jaipur - Ajmer - Pushkar (140 kms - 2 Hours by Road)

    Ajmer Shariff, Pushkar Mela

    After breakfast depart by car for Puskhar en route visiting Ajmer Shariff. Pushkar comes alive during the months of October-November with its world renowned ‘Pushkar Mela’ or ‘Pushkar Fair’. Late in the afternoon, you will visit the Brahma Temple and the beautiful Pushkar Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.     

  • Day 6 - Pushkar - Devigarh (264 kms - 4 Hours by Road)

    After having breakfast, you will be driven to Devigarh. On arrival, you check-in at a hotel with the afternoon being spent in leisure.

  • Day 7 - In Udaipur

    Lake Palace, Bazaar Tour, Jagdish Mandir

    After breakfast, you will leave for a day excursion to Udaipur. Glistening in the abundance of delightful lakes and spectacular palaces, Udaipur is a treat for the eyes.

    The Udaipur Lake Palace, which has also been called as the most romantic hotel in India, is the magnum opus of Udaipur. Standing majestically amidst the Pichola Lake, this palace turned luxurious hotel has served the royal families as one of their popular summer destinations.

    Later, visit the City Palace Museum and Jagdish Mandir, Bharatiyalok Kala Mandal and Sahelion ki Bari. City Palace once served as the domicile to the royal families of Mewar, and its breathtaking architectural layout adds to its royalty.

    Hathipol, Chetak Circle, Clock Tower Palace Road, Bapur Bazar and City Market will also be visited. Shopping at Bapu Bazaar and City Market has their own delight and cannot be matched by any other markets. Talk toys, bright handmade garment and turbans, tie and dye sarees, cane furniture and silver jewelleries are the fortes of these markets.

    Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 8 - Devigarh - Jodhpur (240 kms - 4 Hours by Road)

    Jain Temples, Aravalli hills

    After having breakfast in the hotel, a 4 hours drive will take you to Jodhpur, the ‘Sun City’ or ‘Blue City’ of India. While on the way to Jodhpur, a visit to the historical Jain Temples of Ranakpur will be arranged. These temples were built in the 15th century in a valley, deep in the enchanting Aravalli Hills.

    After visiting Ranakpur continue drive to Jodhpur on arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

  • Day 9 - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (274 Kms - 4.5 Hours by Road)

    Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada

    Post breakfast at the hotel, excursion of the Sun City will start. Visit the glorious Mehrangarh Fort, which is cosseted on a low sandstone hill. Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal comprise the major attractions of Mehrangarh Fort. Jaswant Thada, one of the major landmarks of the city. Built with delicate carvings on white marble, this tombstone was built in 1899 in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Here onwards, you can explore the liveliness of the local market and get indulged into shopping.

    After city tour of Jodhpur, you will be driven to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival in Jaisalmer, you will be guided to the hotel. Check into the hotel and relax; overnight stay at the hotel.
