Thousand Islands also called as the Kepulauan Seribu is a collection of 110 islands. The island can be visited from Jakarta as well as Tangerang. The development of the place began with the Onrust island and the Dutch developed it as their naval base through VOC. Highlights: Today, of the 110 islands, 11 islands are home to resorts, two are historic parks, thirty-three are privately owned and rest are inhibited or supports fishing villages. You can visit Pulau Bidadari island, the closest to Jakarta, which is also the first choice for wedding photographers. Also make a visit to the three neighboring islands which are located quite nearby - Onrust, Kahyangan, and Kelor in a fishing boat from here.
