Mercat Cross Overview

The Mercat Cross is located in Castlegate directly opposite to the popular tourist attraction of Tolbooth museum. The beautiful structure adorns a white unicorn and is an elaborate symbol of Aberdeen's right to host the market. This highly decorated medieval structure was built in 1686 by the city‘s guild of merchants.
