It's an amazing trip. I didn't expect it to be this good. The place is really green heaven on earth. The trek route is amazing. Very doable and not strenuous. The waterfalls and kayaking are high points. You will fall in love with Shimoga's Hills.

It was a wonderful trip for us. As a team it was really exciting to climb the hill up. But we were dehydrated after the first half itself. But it was worthy to watch the sights from the top.

I traveled to Agumbe with the group last November. Koodlu falls was still closed because of heavy rainfall before that but we got the stunning views of Onake Abbi falls. Found a big snake at Agumbe wild forest research station possibly a cobra. Also saw Pit Viper on our trek into jungle. It was quite an adventure and staying in the tents was an experience in itself. The food was delicious and our group had fun before the campfire. All in all, it was one weekend I won't forget for long time. The guide was very entertaining too with all his stories (mostly cooked up). Organizers were very helpful and always with us. It was my first time to live & experience the jungle and i can tell you it's worth every penny.

After exploring several places of the South India, we realized that we have been to several distant placed yet haven’t explored the ones that are located nearby Agumbe. So, we planned this trip and went on trekking in this beautiful location. We booked the tour package and it was a 2 night and 3 day trip that was power packed and full of adventure. We clicked many pictures during our journey as the locations around were beautiful. Overall, it is a fun trip that all adventure enthusiasts must undertake.

I and my friends Sandy and Varun reached Agumbe, we decided to head to a place known as Jogigundi Falls. It was an amazing place a perfect place to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We went trekking through the serene region and spotted wildlife here. We returned back to the village and had our lunch before making our way to the Koodlu Theertha falls. After spending some time at the sunset point we made our way down from the Ghat section to the Someshwar. It was a wonderful trip for all of us.

My family and I went for this trip, for elders the routes are quite challenging but if you are enthusiastic to accomplish the trip, you can easily do it. But we had a good time over there. With transportation from Bangalore at this price is something great. We were happy with the food also.

Jog Falls surprised me. The water falls down from a great height and it looked amazing. We can feel a chilled climate always near the falls. The backwater was also beautiful. My mind got relaxed for the lifetime. Such a pristine location.

The trek was strikingly beautiful experience. Our gang enjoyed it really a lot. Being a trekking enthusiast, I loved the experience. This is good for both solo trekkers as well as people who want to trek as a group.

The Kundadri Peak is located 80 km from Shimoga and around 20 km from Thirthahalli. It is known for its pristine beauty. We had a great time at this trek. I so suggest this to all my friends already. I had a great trek in short. It was one of the best treks we had. I surely love this and would like to do it again sometime. Only that this place is far from my city and the travel expenses are huge.

Had a great time on this trek as the trail was relatively simple than the other treks I have attempted so far. It was a very pleasing and wonderful experience.

For the beginners Kodachadri is one of the best trek to kick start with your trekking boot-rockets as me and my friends scored out the long pending to do list with our first trek to this enchanting hills. First of all if you are a bangalorean you need to bide up yourself as the journey to Kodachadri itself will cover around 422 odd kms and then your day 1 trek starts from the base camp. The entire tiresome journey would fade away once you take a sight of the fascinating hillside with very a little human movement. The best part of our trek was the falls we found in the middle of the jungle as all in a sudden it popped up from nowhere(Disclaimer: Your energy would drain up here if you take a shower at falls as the real trek to the up hill starts from this point). We took this trek on Offseason in the month of April and was tested thoroughly for our stamina & endurance. Day 2 was fun filled with early morning kayaking, hanging bridge and some exploration on a fort. Food at homestay is too good as you would feel the same as the name states. On a note to complete its a must go trek with your friends and family :)

The Kodachadri trek is one of the most awe-inspiring one I have ever trekked. The path encompass all the features of a nature trek that made the experience more enriching. The starting point was entering into a forest with wild flowers all around. On the way , in between forest we came across hidlumane falls with its pure and cold water.(Needless to say we had bath there). We steadily climb around the edges of the mountain having thick cover of forest interspersed with waterfalls. After a bit of up and down between hills and a sighting of Kodachadri ,we settled down to have lunch on a rocky bed with a stream nearby. Atop the peak at last, we were greeted with a very old looking temple made of stone and covered all around with green growings. In all , it was an splendid experience and the arrangements made by team were simply commendable. Our Guide Prasanth was superb and ideal person we could have asked for.

Wonderful! Truly an enchanting experience. Little did I think that this place is going to influence me so much when I signed up for this trek along with my friend. You don't have to be a pro to trek Kodachadri. The distance and different terrains makes the trek a bit difficult and adventurous. But the feeling when you reach the peak is just unparalleled! :)

An awe-inspiring, awesome and a lot of "aww"s defined the trip! Am so glad I dared try this! The trek coordinator (Sujay) skillfully talked (and pulled) me into climbing on rocks and trees I was sure I can't (ignoring a lot of "you are nuts" comments, I must add), the team was super (we really bonded over the difficult parts of the trek & the night's camp fire), the atmosphere so peaceful, especially the morning-after visit to the completely deserted backwaters - what more do you need for a great trip? Only problem was the TT - the driver turned it in to a "Flying Machine" and a barely 5-feet tall me found the leg space on the cramped side. Sujay's informal hospitality, patience with trekking novices (and an unfit one at that), willingness to consider any and all reasonable (and unreasonable) demands (we quite literally gave him a head-ache, I believe; but he remained invariably even tempered & welcoming), flexibility about plans and the ability to keep everyone (with various levels of adventure craving and endurance/fitness) happy, safe and motivated really made this experience with Explore2Escape a memorable one. Will certainly recommend this tour and operator! (Picture Courtesy - Krishna Vasudevan & Sujay Kenchi)

Trekking was amazing but the camping was not so perfect. Bathrooms were less in number. 25 would be an ideal group size i think .Girls in our group found it difficult. Everything else was managed by the team in a good way.

Since they offered pick up and drop off at Bangalore, I found this package very suitable. There was no problem en route except in the morning after we reached the campsite. We got our rooms late as some groups were checking out then only. Otherwise, it was a wonderful deal of fun and entertainment. The guide was informative and nice to everyone. Food and accommodation were also good.

Our trekking was in last June and then it was raining at times. But it did not disturb us in climbing the peak up. In the rain, the surroundings were becoming lively and the most photographic scene was that. Camping was a decent one with all necessary amenities.
