Location: Karnala Bird SanctuaryPickup time: 8 AM.Drop-off time: 6 PM. Pickup and Drop off location: Your hotel in MumbaiThe Karnala bird sanctuary is situated in the Panvel Taluka of Raigad District and is considered as one of the picnic spots near Mumbai city. The sanctuary is spread across 12.11 sq. km. and is spread below the Karnala fort. This sanctuary is home to over 150 species of resident and 37 species of migratory birds. In the monsoon season, travelers can spot a vivid collection of bird species such as the racket-tailed drongo, golden-backed woodpecker, and heart-spotted woodpecker. This tour takes place early in the morning when you will be picked up from your hotel and will be taken to Karnala Bird Sanctuary. Breakfast will be done en-route. After reaching, you will start trekking through the sanctuary towards Karnala Fort. This fort is also known as funnel hill, located within the protected region of Karnala Bird Sanctuary. After touring the Karnala Fort, you will start your descent towards the entrance. Lunch will be served as you get back to the starting point. After lunch, you will travel back to Mumbai. Tea and snacks will be provided en-route.
