About the Digital Light Canvas by TeamLab:
Located within Marina Bay Sands, Digital Light Canvas by teamLab is an interactive art installation that combines digital technology with motion-responsive design. The space consists of a 15-meter circular LED floor embedded with over 7.7 million individually controlled lights. Suspended above the floor is a 14-meter light sculpture made up of more than 400,000 LEDs. Both elements work together to create real-time visuals that change based on the movements of visitors.
The installation features several programmed scenes, including depictions of nature where birds, flowers, and schools of fish respond to footsteps. Another section, called “Graffiti Nature – Red List,” allows visitors to scan their own drawings of endangered animals, which are then brought to life digitally. These designs can also be printed on souvenirs such as tote bags or T-shirts through the onsite Sketch Factory.
Digital Light Canvas operates daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. It is located close to Rasapura Masters, allowing easy access for those combining a visit with dining. Most visitors spend approximately 30 minutes at the installation. The space is designed to offer an immersive digital art experience suitable for all age groups, making it a popular stop for both locals and tourists in Singapore.
