You will look at the scenery that’s so breathtakingly stunning and unlike any mountainous terrain that you have ever seen before – changing from lush green farmland, dense forest, and glistening blue fast-flowing rivers to the barren land and glacial pools the higher you climb – that you realize it was a good decision. Here you are, conquering Everest like a warrior.

When you'll reach the top of the final climb, stumbling over loose rocks and onto a canvas of white, all you will do is sit and admire what had become one of your greatest achievements.

About Chadar Frozen River Trek:

Trekking, for some, is an escape from the ordinary and for others, it is an adventure to conquer. To walk on the path carved out in the midst of naked mountains with the clear blue skies over your head, to breathe its complexities, to sense the soothing touch of the chilly breeze on your face, and to witness the incredible frozen waterfall is an experience one cannot put into words. One such experience is the glorious and equally fascinating, Chadar Trek.

Why choose this package over other Chadar-Trek packages:

➔ Smaller batch-size for better assistance

➔ Stay in Deluxe Hotels for the first three days

➔ Get a chance to Visit an Ice-Hockey Match on day 1(Depending on the matchday/match calendar)

➔ Ice-Skating on day 2 (Additional charges to be paid for the gears)

➔ Visit & climb to Ice Stupa on day 2 (Siang/Sankar gompa village with transportation from the hotel and crampons and ropes 500-700 meter height)

➔ Trekking stick - To walk with support on the trail

➔ Ladakhi Meal on last day Dinner

➔ Cultural program (4-5 performances with traditional outfits)

➔ We believe that roughing it out necessarily doesn’t mean sleeping in smelly sleeping bags, compromising on safety by using low-quality equipment, and having unappetizing meals. We focus on your safety, basic comforts, and the environment while camping.

➔ Handpicked Supporting Staff of multiple guides/helpers for the group. This will ensure high safety, accurate information, and personal attention which is necessary for this trek. We will be putting you in the hands of qualified & professional trek leaders, guides, and support staff with multiple years of experience.

The Chadar Trek is unique because it takes place on the surface of a frozen river. Other treks in India go through hills and mountains, through passes and caves, through ancient forts and valleys. This trek meanders along the Zanskar River. Walking over ice sheets and frozen rivers bordered by towering rusty hills seems very much like a scene straight out of a luxury travel magazine. During the winter months, the captivating Zanskar River turns into a frozen river as if wearing a ‘chadar’ of ice and the waterfall turns into a "frozen waterfall".

The sheer beauty of this trek has its twists and turns, the trail takes you through steep canyons, and understanding the ice pattern will take time but the overwhelming feeling of conquering this trek will be worth every second. Fortunately for us, Chadar Trek is no dream; it is as real as it gets and very much within your reach.
