Best Time For Spiti Valley Honeymoon Tour

Here is the best time to visit Spiti Valley.

Spiti Valley is enchanting year-round, with each season bringing its distinct charm and opportunities for adventure and romance. Opting for Spiti Valley honeymoon packages ensures a memorable journey, regardless of when you choose to explore this breathtaking destination.

Peak Season: The summer months from March to June are the peak season in Spiti, with temperatures ranging from 14°C to 20°C. This warm, pleasant climate reveals the valley's glory, with vibrant Buddhist festivals and lush landscapes. Key attractions like Key Monastery and Chandratal Lake are accessible, and activities such as trekking and camping are at their best, offering clear views of the Himalayas.

Shoulder Season: July to September comprise the shoulder season, featuring a cooler climate with temperatures between 10°C and 25°C. This period showcases Spiti’s dynamic beauty, from spring blooms to autumnal hues. It is an excellent time for stargazing and exploring Spiti’s cultural heritage with fewer tourists.

Waning Season: From October to February, winter marks the waning season, when temperatures drop below freezing, often ranging from -4°C to 5°C. Despite the cold, it is a magical time to visit Spiti, as the region is transformed into a snowy wonderland. Couples can indulge in unique experiences like attending vibrant local festivals like the Kye Chham Festival, exploring ice-covered lakes, and enjoying the tranquillity of snow-draped monasteries.

How to reach Spiti

By Air: The nearest airport to Spiti Valley is the Kullu-Manali Airport, approximately 260 kilometres away. The airport connects with domestic flights, but international travellers may need to fly into Chandigarh first, which adds to the travel time. From Kullu, you can take a Himachal Road Transport Corporation bus or a taxi to reach Spiti which takes about 7-8 hours.

By Train: The nearest railway station to Spiti is at Joginder Nagar, about 360 kilometres away, making train travel to Spiti a less direct option. For broader connectivity, travellers might consider the Shimla Railway Station, which is around 100 kilometres farther. Completing the journey to Spiti from either station requires a road trip, blending rail and road travel for the adventurous heart.

By Road: Travelling to Spiti by road offers an adventurous and scenic journey from cities like Chandigarh, Delhi, and Shimla. Routes through Manali via Rohtang Pass or from Shimla present breathtaking views and experiences. Options include buses, taxis, or personal vehicles, making road travel versatile and accessible.

By Car: Driving to Spiti in a personal car allows for a flexible and adventurous journey through the mountains. The route from Manali or Shimla is not just a travel path but an adventure, showcasing the beauty of Himachal Pradesh. While Manali is 177.5 kilometres away, and it takes around 5 to 6 hours to reach Spiti Valley from here, Shimla is 411.9 kilometres away, with the journey to Spiti Valley taking around 12 hours.

This was my second time with Thrillophilia and without any doubt I would say, the entire trip was superb from start till end. We had an amazing time with the entire group. Our guide Ayush Chauhan did his job with outmost sincerity and passion. He had been our pillar of strength throught the journey. Also, cheers to our driver Surrender for keeping us safe and entertained. The stays were amazing with amazing hosts and food was delicious. Thankyou Thrillophilia for organizing this full packed trip in such a affordable budget.

Big big shout out to the entire team, the guide Sanjay Mehta who I love to bits without him this trip would not happen. Even the biking gang was great, Manit thapa and rajan Siddhu. Saw some lovely places and had one of the greatest times. It went better than we thought. Only bad thing was the hotel given to us in kaza, hotel norling something…. Shit food and hygiene and the staff were talking it very lightly. Other wise great trip went perfect well. Shout out to Sanjay ustaaad🥳🥳

This is my second Spiti trip, first time with Thrillophilia. Much better organised than my previous one. The pre-departure information was thorough. Dhankar Monastery, Pin Valley, Langza fossil village all covered at the right pace. Will plan Spiti in winter with them next.

The group made the Spiti trip even better. We had the best time with our guide and 6 strangers who became friends by Day 2. Thrillophilia had mixed age groups in our batch a couple, three working professionals, one student and somehow it worked. Chandratal at midnight when everyone had gone quiet and the only sound was the wind. I just want to go back again

Spiti Valley was exactly the kind of landscape I had been seeking after years of planning this trip. The remoteness is real and the roads are genuinely demanding, but nothing about it felt unsafe or mismanaged. The local village homestay experience was a highlight - simple, warm, and completely authentic. I would have loved one more day at Chandratal but the overall experience was exceptional.

Never expected to find such a remote, stark landscape this beautiful. Fossil hunting at Langza with the kids, posting a letter from Hikkim world's highest post office, Chandratal tent camp. Thrillophilia had detailed altitude sickness precautions shared in advance which was very responsible.

Spiti trip sach mein life-changing rahi, bilkul kuch aur nahi chahiye! Altitude hit me initially but the views were absolutely worth every bit of discomfort. Chandratal lake colour is something no camera can fully capture, completely unreal shade of blue. Local villages felt untouched by modern life which was refreshing. One of the best decisions I ever made!

Our family vacation to Spiti was smooth. Traveling with two kids and my parents, I needed someone reliable, and Thrillophilia planned everything perfectly. The road transfers were in a very clean and sanitized Crysta. We visited sightseeing spots and local markets which were stunning. The driver, Vikram, knew the best local dhabas and hidden viewpoints that weren't even on the itinerary. i have already recommended this to my colleagues in Mumbai. Can't wait for our next adventure! I must mention that the prices we got through this package were much better than what I saw on other sites.

Why Choose Thrillophilia
