By train: Udaipur is the closest railway station. From here by road travel to Chittaur.

By Road: Rajasthan Roadways run very comfortable deluxe & air conditioned buses from Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad to Udaipur. The roads are very good, and it takes around 8-9 hr. from Jaipur. You can also come by taxi from Jaipur and Ahmedabad.

Nearest Town: Udaipur is 108 km from the Wildlife Sanctuary

Distance: Delhi-Udaipur: 670 km, Udaipur-Chittaur: 112 km

Best time to visit: February - March, all round the year except monsoons

Exact Location: Spread near the Aravali mountain foothills, the area covered by this sanctuary is 423 sq km.

While in the jungle do not wear perfume, cologne, or deodorant of any kind before or during your time in the Sita Mata Jungle and The Jalore Wildlife Sanctuary. Metal cans, plastic containers, and plastic bags, of any kind are forbidden inside the Jungle. Do not walk in the Jungle after sunset or before sunrise.

Wear light cotton long sleeved shirts and trousers. Wear insect repellent but make sure it is not fragrant. Wear hiking boots or walking shoes while inside the jungle.
