    If Jakarta is the industrial and financial powerhouse, Yogyakarta is its soul. Central to the intellectual and the artistic heritage of the island, Yogyakarta also known as Yogya is a place where the arts is at its brightest form, Javanese language is at its purest form and all the traditions are at the forefront.

    Highlights: There are a myriad of places to see here such as Prambanan, Taman Sari, Jalan Molioboro, Keraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat, Fort Vredeburg Museum, Gembira Loka zoo, Pok Tunggal Bech and Borobudur Temple Compounds. When here in this beautiful city of Indonesia you have an ample number of things to do. Go around hanging on the cable cart at the Timang Beach, get up and close with the nature at the Kalibiru National Park and see the sand dunes here.

  • 02 Ullen Sentalu

    Ullen Sentalu displays the artefacts and relics from the kratons of Java and the royal houses like the Pakualam, Mangkunegaran, Yogyakarta and Surakarta.

    Highlights: In the museum there are a number of rooms which definitely demand your attention. These include the 5 rooms of Kambang Village, Welcome Room, Corridor and Culture room, Dance and Gamelan Room, Retja Landa and Guwa Sela Giri. Each of these rooms houses its own specialties and collections. Your tour to the museum will commence from the Welcome room where you’ll see a banner which contains the statue of Goddess Sri and the history of the museum. Other rooms are equally brilliant.

    Location: Ullen Sentalu is located at Jalan Boyong KM 25, Kaliurang Barat, Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia Timing: Tue-Sun: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The museum remains closed on Mondays.
