08:00 a.m.: Pick you from your hotel and make a first visit to Wat Trimit in Chinatown. Wat Trimitr, located near Chinatown, is home to the famous Golden Buddha which weights 5.5 Ton of pure gold and 3 metres high. The Golden Buddha is believed to be 700 to 800 years old.
Then explore the old part of Bangkok by driving through Chinatown, Little India (Pahurat) and Bangkok’s largest Flower market (Pak Klong Talaat).
Next visit is Wat Phowhich is famous for its golden Reclining Buddha measures 46 metres and has feet inlaid with mother-of pearl. It is said to be the first open university in Thailand providing Thai Massage lessons until today. In 2008, the historic marble inscriptions in Wat Pho have been registered with UNESCO’s Memory of the World (MOW) as MOW documentary heritage for Asia and Pacific Region
Next is a “must to see” attraction for every visitor to Bangkok,The Royal Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple. The magnificent buildings within the Grand Palace compound truly give you a feeling of the grandeur architectural style. Since the founding of Bangkok as the Nations capital by King Rama I, in 1782, The Grand Palace has been the major architectural symbol of The Thai Royal Family. The original living quarters were temporary and made of wood and thatch and the walls surrounding the palace were made of wood palisades.
In the same compound visit Thailand’s most sacred temple with the revered Emerald Buddha.The main building houses the statue of Emerald Buddha, inside the building it is marvelously decorated by mural painting of the Lord Buddha Life. Except for the Thai King, no other person is allowed to touch the statue. The King changes the rope of the statue three times a year, corresponding to the summer, rainy and cool seasons, this important ritual performed to usher good fortune to the country.
Last Wat (temple) to pay a visit is Wat Benchamabophit also nown to foreigners as The Marble Temple as its exterior is clad in white Carrara marble. The main Ubosoth, (ordient hall) is truly a beautiful architectural masterpiece. The interior crossbeams are decorated with lacquer and gold. The walls of the spacious inner courtyard are lined with a large collection of bronze Buddha images. Inside the main hall it houses the replica of Phra Phuttachinarat, Thailand's most beautiful Buddha.
