What are the important pieces of equipment needed for scuba diving in Gold Coast?

1. Primary mask and backup mask: A diving mask is absolutely essential for scuba diving as it allows you to see clearly underwater. The mask covers the eyes and nose of the diver to give them a clear view while submerged under the water.

2. Fins:
Fins are also an important piece of equipment for scuba diving. They allow you to smoothly swim underwater at a higher speed than without fins.

3. Wing-type BCD and harness:
Buoyancy Control Device or BCD lets you control the ability to stay afloat in the water. It also helps you conserve energy which prolongs your dive time and saves oxygen.

4. Primary and secondary regulator:
A regulator helps regulate your breathing during scuba diving and is also very important equipment. It helps in controlling the air pressure required by the diver for breathing.

5. Twin cylinders, decompression cylinders/stage bottles:
Cylinders carry pressurized air that provides air to the divers. The regulator supplies air through the cylinders at a controlled speed. They help in balancing the surrounding ambient pressure to allow the inflation of the lungs.

6. Dry suit:
Last but not the least, a dry suit helps you stay warm inside the cold water. It maintains your body temperature as you lose body heat faster than air underwater.
