Pick-Up & Drop
Trip Starting From: Pattaya
Trip Location: Pattaya
About the Activity:
Get picked up from your hotel in a car from Pattaya or Jomtien location or meet at the dive shop at around 8:00 AM.
Reach the dive site which takes about an hour by boat. Your instructor will help you put on and check your scuba equipment before entering the water.
Take your first exhilarating breaths underwater, in the shallow waters and you'll realize it's easy to breathe. Once you’re having fun and feeling confident the instructor will show you a couple of easy skills that you might use during the dive. You will then perform the skills the instructor has just shown you until you are comfortable doing them. These skills include clearing your mask, regulator clearing and regulator recovery.
Under close supervision of your instructor, you will be led onto a beautiful coral reef with it’s thousands of colorful tropical fish for an adventure you will never forget.
Get ready for lunch and a chat about all the amazing marine life we’d seen. If you fancy it there is also the chance to jump into the water for a snorkel during lunch-time.
After lunch on the boat we will relax and then go on a second dive, with no extra training required, just diving. The afternoon dive will be for about 1 hour as we interact with marine life on the reefs.
After the dive we will take a slow boat ride home and chat about all our dive stories of the day. End this exciting activity at around 4:00 PM

During the first phase of your scuba lessons, you'll learn the basic principles of scuba diving such as; What to consider when planning dives, How to choose the right scuba gear for you and most importantly Underwater signals and other diving procedures. You'll also watch videos that preview the scuba skills you'll practice in a swimming pool or pool-like environment. In addition to the video, your instructor will demonstrate each skill for you.
How old do I have to be to scuba dive?
Anyone aged 10 and older (there are options for ages 8-10 as well), with a reasonable level of physical fitness, comfortable in the water with a basic knowledge of swimming can scuba dive. There is no upper age limit for divers, although people suffering from lung ailments or other chronic illnesses are asked not to take part in this activity.
How long does it take to become a certified diver?
PADI courses are performance based, which means that you earn your certification when you demonstrate that you’ve mastered the required skills and knowledge. Some learn faster than others and hence course duration varies. The PADI Open Water Diver course can be completed in as little as three days or can take up to a week.
How old do I have to be to become a certified diver?
You must be at least 10 years old to receive a Junior Open Water Diver Certification. 10 and 11 year old Junior Open Water Divers must dive with a certified parent, guardian or PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet. 12 to 14 year olds must dive with a certified adult. No, but there are potential hazards, which is why you need proper training and certification. Plenty of training and safety measures are implemented along with proper gear and fully functional equipment.
Is there a DON’T checklist I have to follow?
Never drink and dive – Intoxication can put a diver in a compromised position. One being the inability to use common sense, and make rational judgments, especially when it involves safety. Don’t eat a big meal before making your dive – You should wait at least two hours after eating before you make your dive. Diving on a full belly can put you in a dangerous situation. Not only creates the possibility of acquiring cramps, but also possible upchucking in your mouthpiece making it difficult to breathe. Never conceal any serious or chronic medical conditions you know to exist.
