One can spot magnolias, orchids and rhododendrons that generously grow around this lake.Ooty is very closed located to another popular hill station Coonoor and a day tour to both these places can be made within a day. The places to go for sightseeing at Coonoor are Sim’s Park, Doddabetta, Dolphin’s Nose and Katary Falls. On the Connor road, there is another major tourist attraction – Wax World Museum wherein one can find wax statues of prominent people and of different themes. If time permits, travel around 16kms from Ooty to reach Kokkal Kota, a tribal village where one can see the artisan tribe of Nilgiris, Kotas. Go further and you will reach Pathar Village. This deserted place promises you breathtaking views of Bokkapuram, Masinagudi and Mudumalai Sanctuary. Very experienced trek lead. Energetic and active Daisha. Even though weather was tough she took care of all. Excellent hotel, very good food and hygiene. Had fun in the bus also with games and activities together with trek lead.
