Granada witnesses a continental climate with the Sierra Nevada mountains on one side and the Mediterranean coast bordering the other end. The weather of Granada in February is influenced by interior Mediterranean climate and hence is very cold and dry.

February is the third coldest month of the year with the average temperature being 12oC at daytime while it dips to 2oC at night. It rains for 8 to 14 days and might snow as well. The rains instigated by Atlantic depressions are quite frequent but are not abundant thus making February a reasonably dry period to visit.

Take a Walk to El Banuelo Museum

El Banuelo Museum, located on the site of what used to be the Arab Baths in the 11th century, is one of the oldest and best preserved buildings of Spain.

San Nícolas Church Granada

The San Nícolas Church was built on the site of a former mosque, of which only the cistern remains. Together with the church of San Cristóbal, it is the oldest of the Mudejar churches in Granada which was destroyed during the civil war and was restored very recently. Catedral de Granada

The Cathedral of the Incarnation popularly known as Catedral de Granada is a famous Roman Catholic Church in the heart of Granada city. Unlike many Cathedrals in Granada, the construction of this structure did not start until the 16th century. Whereas its foundation was laid somewhere between 1523 to 1708 as this church is one of the prime examples of Baroque architecture, Renaissance architecture, and Plateresque architecture.Some prime architects involved in its construction include Diego Siloe, Felipe Bigarny, Enrique de Egas and Juan Gil de Hontañón.
