Originating from the valleys of Kullu and Manali, the Beas Kund shares mythological connection with Rishi Vyas. According to the legends, the saint is believed to take bath in this sacred water reservoir and thus it is now considered as a pious site by the Hindus.
An extension of Beas river in manali, the Beas Kund lies connected from Solang and offers the most fascinating views of the slopes, nearby peaks and evergreen forests. Today, you will make your way to Manali from your point of departure. Manali is easily reachable by Air and Road. The nearest airport is at Bhuntar, about 50km away, and you can hire a taxi to reach here from this airport. Arriving in the town, check-in into a hotel and relax for the day. If you wish to explore the scenic beauty of the town you can also go for a short sightseeing tour; overnight stay in the hotel.
Solang Nullah, Hanuman Tibba
Today, gear up to embark on the journey, which will take you to Dhundi. A jeep will take you through the beautiful Solang Nullah. Famous for paragliding and skiing depending upon the season, Solang is a beautifully carved portrait of nature. This one-hour drive, you will be accompanied by stunning views of mountains and valleys. Once across this region, you will follow the River Beas, all the way to Dhundi. A short walk to the camp, the glorious Hanuman Tibba ranges will be a view that you can’t afford to miss; overnight stay will be in tents.
3 Hours Trek, Scenic Valleys & Grasslands, Snow Capped Mountains, Moraines
This day, ascend the beautifully carved trail that steers from your campsite to Dhundi as you proceed to trek the beautiful valleys. The route to Bhakartach will give you a splendid view of the monstrous peaks with traces of slippery snow. This will give you a pleasant welcome to taste the higher altitudes of the majestic Himalayas. Follow this trail through an initial pleasant walk to encounter moraines and wet grasslands. After a long trek, reach the gorgeous campsite at Bhakartach and retire into your tents for the night.
5 Hours Trek, Glaciers, Moraines, Beas Kund Lake, Snow Capped Mountains
Today, you will be swooped off to trek over the moraines that add to the mystical beauty of this region. Make your way from your campsite across serpentine tracks and cross spectacular glaciers to reach the much awaited Beas Kund, where a serene lake awaits your arrival. This lake is the source of Beas River in Manali, where you can rejoice the conquest of attaining your arrival. Enjoy the pristine views and after devoting your presence to the region, make your way back to your campsite at Bhakartach where you will stay overnight in your tents.
3 Hours Trek, Trip Ends Here
On the last day of your expedition, you will trace back your tracks to descend from Bhakartach to Dhundi. Once you arrive here, a vehicle will be arranged to drop you in the spectacular town of Manali. With your arrival, this amazing Beas Kund trek will come to an end and you can proceed to your onward destination.
