The maximum Hampta pass height is at Shea Goru (14,100 feet) and the minimum altitude is 9,800 feet at Jobra. Common Altitude related issues:

AMS:

The body starts reacting after it reaches a height of 7,000 feet above sea level. Acclimatization is the key to escape falling in the pit of AMS. Make sure you carry Diamox with you as it helps if you catch any symptoms of altitude sickness. 

Cold:

How to get acclimatize with high altitude on Hampta Pass Trek?

The catch to getting properly acclimatized with the high altitude on the Hampta Trek is to reach Manali one week prior to the trek so that your body can adjust to the subzero temperature and low oxygen levels. Avoid using quilts or heaters during your stay in the hotel to let the body get ready for the latter trek. 

It is advisable to avoid the consumption of alcohol a week before your trek and till post one week as well, as it can lead to hypothermia and dehydration. Make sure you pack all the clothing and other essentials well as they will be your best ally during the enthralling expedition.
