About Sar Pass Trek:

Perched at 13,800 ft. above sea level, Sar Pass offers the magnificence of a beautiful verdant landscape and is a heaven for photographers, artists, and nature lovers. Set against a curtain of majestic Himalayan peaks wrapped in snow, the Sar Pass trek passes through some of the most scenic views ranging from forests to the meadows to the ice blankets.

While trekking across the path from Tila Lotni to Biskeri Ridge, one has to pass by a small, usually frozen lake which means "Sar" in the local language of Himachal. Hence the name, Sar Pass! The trail passes through the thick forest and takes you to a winter wonderland that makes it fascinating.

Sar Pass Trek Package Inclusions:

➔Accommodation – You will be staying in tents for 4 days of the trek (3 people/tent). Room/Tent is separate for the male and female participants.

➔Meals – (Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner). We provide simple, nutritious veg/Jain food on all days of the trek.

➔Camping charges – All trekking permits and forest camping charges are included.

➔Trekking equipment – High-quality tents and sleeping bags in all the camps. Sleeping bags can withstand temperatures as low as -10 ºC.

➔Safety equipment – First aid kit, oxygen cylinders, oximeter, etc. will be with guide/trek leader and at the campsite as well to deal with emergencies.

➔Expert trek Leaders – All our trek leaders are at least qualified in basic/advanced mountaineering and first aid course.

➔Expert Trek support team – The mountain staff on Sar Pass trekking consists of certified guides, cooks, helpers, and porters.

Sar Pass Trek From Delhi Itinerary

Day 1
Overnight Journey from Delhi to Kasol | A Scenic Drive to Kasol
Your Sar Pass Trek adventure begins in Delhi. Meet the representative at the pick-up point and get transferred to Kasol, the starting point of the trek. Enjoy the scenic drive from Delhi to Kasol and rest overnight during the journey.

Day 2
Arrival in Kasol | Trek from Kasol to Grahan Village via Rhododendron Forest
Upon reaching Kasol in the morning, your Sar Pass trek will start from the centre of Kasol. Follow the left bank of the Grahan Nallah, an easy route commonly used by locals. As you pass Grahan Nallah, the trail turns rocky leading uphill through Rhododendron forests. After an hour of steep ascent, reach Grahan Village campsite for an overnight stay in your allotted tents.

Trekking Distance: 10 km | Duration: 5 hours | Elevation: 7700 ft.


  • Start your trek from the center of Kasol and get briefed about the trail from your trek leader.
  • Enjoy your trek from the left of the Grahan Nallah having an easy trek route.
  • After passing the Grahan Nallah, continue the uphill trek through the Rhododendron forest.
  • Here, you can find Rhododendron petals, edible and perfect for a refreshing drink when mixed with water. 
  • After a steep climb of about an hour, reach Grahan Village famous for traditional Himalayan architecture and culture.
  • Enjoy stunning vistas of green valleys and majestic Himalayan peaks.
  • Overnight stay in tents at Grahan Village Campsite.

Day 3
Trek from Grahan Village to Mung Thach | Panoramic Views of Chandrakhani Stretch
Wake up to the breathtaking sight of snow-clad mountains. After breakfast, trek from Grahan to Mung Thach following the local trail. Along the way, witness the stunning views of Mung Thach, Nagaru, and Sar Top to your right. Enjoy trekking through dense woods with challenging terrain, reaching Mung Thach by day's end. Later, soak in panoramic views of the Chandrakhani stretch and other Himalayan ranges. Overnight stay at Mung Thach in a forest camp.
Activity: Trek From Grahan To Mung Thach

Trek Distance: 7 km | Duration: 4-5 hours | Elevation: 11,150 Ft.


  • Start the trek north from Grahan camping ground towards Mung Thach after breakfast.
  • Encounter Mung Thach, Nagaru, and Sar Top on the mountain to the right during the trek.
  • Trek through steep paths into dense woods with thick tree cover and feel the real trek adventure.
  • Navigate challenging terrain with your trek leader as the slope becomes steeper along the path.
  • Arrive at Mung Thach after crossing the forest and enjoy breathtaking views of the Chandrakhani stretch and other Himalayan ranges.
  • Overnight stay at Mung Thach in a forest camp.

Day 4
Trek from Mung Thach to Nagaru | Walk Through the Lush Green Forest
Start your day with refreshing cold breezes before trekking from Mung Thach to Nagaru through the woods. Experience the thrill as the trail gets tough with steep slopes. After crossing a steep slope for a couple of hours, reach Nagaru campsite. When facing north you will see magnificent mountains across the Parvati valley and the beautiful town of Manikaran. Overnight stay at Nagaru Camp.
Activity: Trek From Mung Thach To Nagaru

Trek Distance: 8 km | Duration: 5-6 hours | Elevation: 12,500 Ft.


  • Start trekking from Mung Thach to Nagaru through the woods.
  • Encounter difficult terrain with steep slopes and possibly slippery snow.
  • Trek for a couple of hours, crossing steep slopes and before reaching Nagaru campsite.
  • Enjoy stunning views of mountains and Manikaran town across Parvati Valley when facing north.
  • Overnight stay at Nagaru campsite.

Day 5
Trek From Nagaru To Biskeri Thach | Stand tall atop Sar Pass at 13,800 feet
Begin early for the steep snowy climb to reach the summit. Soak in the breathtaking views of Sar Pass and the majestic peaks of the Tosh valley. Next, experience the thrilling slide down Biskeri over a kilometre to the softer slope. Trek for an hour, crossing streams to reach the Biskeri Thach campsite for an overnight stay.

Trek Distance: 14 km | Duration: 6-8 hours | Elevation: 13,800 Ft.


  • Make an early start, as the climb is steep through the snow.
  • Reach the top and enjoy the stunning views of Sar Pass and the elevated peaks of the Tosh Valley.
  • Stay at the top for a bit to cherish your accomplishments and take some amazing pictures.
  • After that, you will have to slide down the Biskeri for 1 km with the proper guidance of your trek leader.
  • Walk for an hour crossing a few streams to reach the valley and finally to the campsite of Biskeri Thach.
  • Overnight stay at Biskeri Thach Campsite.

Day 6
Downhill Trek from Biskeri Thach to Barshaini | Overnight Drive from Kasol to Delhi
Begin your last day by trekking downhill to Barshaini from Biskeri Thach. Enjoy the beautiful views of forests, mountains, and grasslands on the way. Pass through the twin villages of Pulga and Tulga, separated by a stream. Cross a bridge on the river Parvati to reach Barshaini village. Conclude the day with a jeep ride to Kasol base camp before getting transferred back to Delhi.

Trek Distance: 10 km | Duration: 5-6 hours | Elevation: 10,990 Ft.


  • Trek downhill from Biskeri Thach, passing through lush landscapes.
  • Hike across fenced terrain, descending from Biskeri towards Barshaini.
  • Pass through twin villages, Pulga and Tulga, separated by a stream. 
  • Next, Cross the Parvati River to reach Barshaini village.
  • Enjoy a jeep ride to Kasol base camp with scenic views of the surroundings.
  • Board the provided transfers from Kasol to Delhi.

Know Before You Go for Sar Pass Trek From Delhi

  • Climatic conditions in the high altitudes vary from the plains; take adequate time to get acclimatized to high altitudes.
  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  • The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travellers littering may be fined.
  • Water is very precious, so conservation is appreciated.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
  • The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
  • Neat and clean vehicle for the journey with experienced driver especially for hilly terrains available.
  • Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
  • Avoid using earphones during the trek; this might hinder your audibility.
  • In case, the trek needs to be cancelled, the authorities should be informed beforehand.
  • All the activities depend upon the weather.
  • Mobile & laptop charging points may/may not be available on campsites at a common point.
  • Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
  • Pay heed to the trek leader and guide in order to enjoy a safe and sound trek.
  • Professional Trek Leaders are available to ensure high safety and more information and personal attention which are necessary to appreciate a trek.
  • Camping is very basic in nature. One must not expect luxuries. Electricity will not be available at any campsite.
  • It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the Sar Pass trekking.
  • Any personal expenses, items of personal nature, meals not mentioned, etc. will not be in part of the Sar Pass trek package.
