Location: kundalika river

Kundalika is a beautiful river originating in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra and ending into the Arabian Sea near the creek at Roha. The river flows through thick forests and rice fields of a region of what was earlier the princely state of Bhor. It is the only river in Maharashtra on which white water rafting is possible. This river has two hydroelectric power stations at Bhira and Ravalje. Rafting is done on the let off of these hydroelectric projects. The rafting experience is very nice with a 13 km stretch with nice grade III and grade IV rapids.

Rafting is a high adrenaline sport of navigating a river in an inflatable raft.You will be enjoying thrilling 13 km River Rafting adventure, will know the techniques from expertise, raft amidst lush green forests and blissful environment, and witness panoramic view of several mountains. You are provided with high-quality safety equipment and will be accompanied by experienced swimmers and rafting experts to ensure your safety.After rafting you can have lunch (veg and non veg ) and can enjoy commando crossing, Burma Bridge, Tarzan Swing, volleyball, football, cricket with your family and friends.

Requirements for River Rafting:

Minimum Age: 11 years

Minimum Weight: 35 Kg

Maximum Weight: 120 Kg

River Rafting Distance: 13 km on the water

Rapids: 10 ranging from Grade 2 to Grade 3

Duration: Approx. 2 hours

Package offers: River Rafting with Guide, Meal

Minimum occupancy: 1 Pax

Suitable for: Age group between 14- 55

Child policy: Children below 14 years are not allowed for the activity.

How to reach: kundalika river is located at a distance of 112 km from Mumbai via NH 66 and 126 from Pune via Tamhini Ghat Rd. You can easily reach by private or public transportation. 

Itinerary

  • Day 1 -

    8:30 am: Report at Rafting Start Point

    8:30 am – 9 am: Brief Instructions and wear Life Jackets

    9:00 am to 12 noon: Long Run Rafting

    12:30 noon – 1 pm: Transfer to Campsite (Own vehicles need to be used, or Autos can be hired at Kolad)

    1pm – 2:30 pm: Lunch & Changing of Clothes

    2:30 pm – 5 pm: Commando Crossing + Burma Bridge + Tarzan Swing + Volley Ball & Playground for Football, Cricket.

  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
