Korigad Trek From Pune Overview

About 65 km from Pune and 80 km from Mumbai, resting in the lap of Sahyadri mountains is Lonavala—one of the most spectacular hill stations near Mumbai. Wearing a cloak of serenity and mostly covered with a layer of mist during monsoon, this little hill town has been a perfect hideaway for mountains and monsoons lovers. There are many places to visit in Lonavala in the rainy season for all those who want to experience the season of love and romance in the beautiful Western Ghats. All of them have different things to offer and are great spots for a day tour from Mumbai and Pune.

Koraigad is conveniently located in Lonavala, close enough to be easily accessible for a one-day getaway and far enough to avoid the touristy hustle-bustle at the popular spots. Situated about 20 kms outside Lonavala, Koraigad fort stands little over 900m above sea level. One can easily find a flight of about 500 steps laid out to reach the fort from Pethshahpur village in less than an hour.     Shivaji Nagar, Bremen Chowk and Wakad

    08:00 Reach Lonavala station and move towards Korigad fort.

    09:30 Reach at base village and breakfast.

    10:00 Start ascending.

    11:00 Reach the top and explore.

    13:00 Descending

    14:00 Reach at base and lunch.

    15:00 Reach Lonavala. Trek ends.

    17:30 Departure for Pune from Lonavala.
