About Yung Island or Mosquito IslandOne of the remotest parts of Phi Phi islands, Mosquito Island is one of the isolated islands which consist of a limestone cliff rock which is around 700 meters in height. The island is divided into two small beaches and both the beaches remain filled with mosquitoes during sunset and hence the name.
Beautiful white sandy beaches and soft corals enhance the beauty of the island. Swimming is not suggested here as blacktip sharks are common in the northern cove. Snorkeling is done on the southeastern shores whereas diving is done best on the northeastern tip. If you are planning to visit Thailand this should be on the list of your places to visit in Krabi.
