It is believed that the great poet and scholar of the ancient times, Bhartrihari, tormented by the infidelity of his wife, denounced the worldly life and became a hermit, and meditated in this cave for a long time. 

The cave features paintings and scriptures. There is also a small temple here, serving as a pilgrimage to the Nath community.
