Nice trekking experience at this place, we enjoyed each and every step we take the walked was fun with the clear track and good direction from the guide, we have easily reached the top and had a good time spend there explored the fort and took stunning pictures. Rail: The nearest railway station to Tung Fort is the Lonavala railway station. The station is approximately 22 km away from the fort. After reaching Lonavala, you might find some difficulty with public transport. You will have to catch a bus to Aamby valley first. From there, you will have to reach Ghusalkhamb village. The base village of Tung Fort, the Tungwadi is around 8 km away from the Ghusalkhamb village which you will have to cover by walking for approximately 1.5 hours.
Road: You can take the Bengaluru-Mumbai Highway or Mumbai Pune Highway or Mumbai Pune Expressway to reach the Tung fort. Alternatively, you can easily hire a bike from Mumbai or Pune or Lonavala at an affordable price.
