Brahmagiri Trek From Mumbai Overview

Maharashtra is a state in the western peninsular region of India. Places near Mumbai and Pune have some of the marvelous spots with green hills, lush forests, flowing springs and glinting waterfalls making for the best experience of trekking in Maharashtra. Brahmagiri is a mountain range in the Western Ghats in Maharashtra belonging to the Nashik district. These hills are the birth place of River Godavari and hold religious importance as they are mentioned many times in mythological stories. The Trimbakeshwar temple in Brahmagiri shelters one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is considered a holy place by pilgrims and devotees. The hill is now accessible through stone steps  built during the 20th century. These terrains offer adventure travels such as nature walks and trekking.

We will take a 10 minutes' walk from Trimbakeshwar towards Brahmagiri brings visitors to a signboard that indicates the presence of wild animals and warning regarding the same. Then, the gradual ascent of 2 km brings you to the top of Brahmagiri Hill. It takes around 2 hours to reach the top of the Brahmagiri from Trimbakeshwar. One can see the temples of Lord Shiva and goddess Godavari at the top of Brahmagiri Hill.

A trek here is the perfect way to spend the weekend with your friends or family.

    Bhamagiri trek from Mumbai package from Thrillophilia was nice and well-organized, the pick-up was exactly on-time with a clean vehicle and a professional driver, the base village was nice and the guide gave us a good session about the trek...The trek towards Brahmagiri was not challenging at all...I and my kids together enjoyed the walk...At the top, we had breakfast and explored the place by clicking pictures and felt with the beauty of it... return to base-village was much easier
