The Kachari Ruins are one of the unique places to visit in Dimapur. These ruins are a series of mushroom-domed pillars built before the Ahom invasion in the 13th century by the Dimasa Kachari Kingdoms. There is a mystery surrounding the origin and purpose of these pillars and today some  remain standing while others have crumbled.

The mushroom-shaped dooms were also believed to have been used for a game similar to chess. The Ruins are considered the North East's and Nagaland Tourism Department's glory, and are believed to show the precinct and presence of an old fertility cult with the kind of rituals they performed. One of the most renowned religious places to visit in Dimapur Nagaland is the Shiva Temple located within the Sinrijan village. As he pointed the blade on the rock, he witnessed some liquid oozing out of it. Later that night, he dreamt and came to realize it was Lord Shiva that had led to Lord Shiva's worship, and consequently, the temple was established. The vast expanse of equatorial forest is renowned for semi-tropical vegetation comprising flora like Passiflora, Pinus Caribiae, Mahogany, Bamboo, Rattan, Pinus Kesiya, Palms, and Edulis, besides its scenic beauty.
