The Average Max temperature usually varies from 15 to 32 degree Celsius during the months. Around 320 species are recorded to nestle in the park including the painted spurfowl, bronzed-winged jacana, waterfowl, cormorant and many others. The main locations where these birds can be sighted in the park are Rajbagh Talao, Padam Talao and Malik Talao.

The Best time to visit Ranthambore is during the winter and summer season. One can plan for a time as per their comfort as the temperature varies from 10 to 30 degrees in winter and a bit higher to 40 degrees in summer season.

There are 2 types of safari offered in the park that are Canter and Jeep Safaris. For a jeep, max seats are 6 and that for a canter 20 seats are available. One needs to book for the safari at least 90 days prior to their trip. This activity is open for booking from 1 October to 30 June.

1. Ranthambore in Summer: From April till June:

With its location in one of the hottest regions of India that is Rajasthan, the summer season has unbeatable dry heat throughout the day in Ranthambore Park. The mercury hits 40 degrees and above and it’s very hard to even stand out in the sun for even a few minutes.

2. Ranthambore in Monsoon: From July till September:

The monsoon season in the Ranthambore Park is not recommended to plan for your vacations. You won’t be able to sight any wildlife as they would be nestling in their abodes. Also most of the core zones remain closed during this season. Your vacation won’t be a great experience overall.

3. Ranthambore in Winter: From October till March:

The winter season is the best season to visit Ranthambore as the chances of spotting wildlife is maximum during this season. The park is at its peak of charm and the weather is in favour of exploration.
