Pratapgad Fort Trek From Pune Overview

Trekking Location: Pratapgad Fort.
Pickup time: 11 PM.
Drop time: 8 PM.

Pratapgad fort is a huge fort located in the Satara district of Maharashtra. Located at around 24 Km from Mahabaleshwar, this is an ideal place for travelers who’d like to explore more than just Mahabaleshwar. Besides the historical importance of this fort for the battle of Pratapgad, this fort is now a popular tourist destination. The nature at Pratapgad is just perfect during any time of the year and hence you will find plenty of visitors to this fort, no matter what time of the year it is.

This trip starts from a common gathering point in Pune from where the trip starts to Pratapgad fort. You will reach the Pratapgad top at 3 AM where you’ll halt for some time and get some sleep. You’ll be called up at 6:30 AM in the morning when you’ll be having your breakfast along with the introduction.  You’ll be exploring the fort for a while after which you will start your trek towards Bhimachi Kathi.

Your trek reaches to a halt as you reach Ramvardayini Mata Temple. You will be having your lunch at Gawali Wadi. After lunch, you will be taken to Bhimachi Kathi to enjoy the view of the waterfall. After that, you start your journey to Kudpan where you will be having your evening refreshments. After the refreshments, you will start the departure to Pune and will reach till 8 PM.
