  • By Car: The activity location is 800 meters from the city center, it will take 3 min via Av. de Paris route.
  • By Walk: The activity location is 850 meters from the city center and can be reached with a 12-minute walk.

Know Before You Go for Palace of Versailles Tickets

  • On the first Sunday of every month from Nov-Mar, entrance to the Château de Versailles is free.
  • Visitors eligible for free visits must pre-book online. If this is not possible, they may book a time slot directly at the South Minister Wing.
  • It is mandatory for visitors to go through security checks in Château de Versailles. At peak times, there might be long lines for the security checks and may even reach outside.
  • You must come at your selected timeslot. No entry outside of the chosen timeslot will be accepted.
  • In order to avoid visitors overlapping, the entrances and exits are separate and clearly marked at the Palace of Versailles and on the Trianon Estate.
  • Audio commentary is available in Chinese / English / Spanish / Russian / Portuguese / Japanese / German / Korean / French / Italian / Polish.
  • All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of arrival.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of arrival.
  • During the summer period, the Musical Fountains show are scheduled every weekends.
  • Musical Gardens are scheduled from Tuesday to Friday and the Night Fountains Show every Saturday evening (except Saturday August 10), as well as the evenings of Friday June 28, Sunday July 14, Friday August 9, Sunday August 11 and Thursday August 15.
  • There are usually 2 lines at the Château de Versailles - one for buying the tickets and the other for security check. This ticket only allows you to skip the ticketing line but not the security check line.
