Situated at the edge of the woods, this homestay is a mud-house in a beautiful organic farm that’s spread over 6 acres in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The stay features 3 bedrooms, each with 3 single beds and 5 shared washrooms near the forest, amidst mango, gooseberry, and bamboo trees. There is a kitchen that guests can use to cook, and have their meals in the common area attached to the dorm. The dining area overlooks a little pond, their front yard is beautiful, the terrace has a lovely view.
The homestay is in the Pauvalgarh area, where they can enjoy a specific Jungle Safari and explore the unseen regions of the Jungle as well as wildlife. The in-house naturalist (the host) is an expert at birding and a living treasure of tales, so explore the jungle to spot local and migratory birds, and enjoy birdwatching with good tips especially for Jim Corbett national park. Pauvalgarh is a paradise for birders and nature lovers. One can see around 150 species of birds and 50 species of butterflies here.
At the stay, take a nature walk around the farm, or in the forest. Watch the beautiful birds and butterflies of Pauvalgarh. Read books in the little library of the homestay. There is a little set-up amidst the mango trees for music gatherings in the winter sun or under the stars. There, lit a bonfire and gaze at the stars. Later, enjoy the organic food from the veggies grown in the backyard.
How to reach:
The stay is in Pauvalgarh, around 25 km from Ramnagar Railway Station. A private cab/car would be the best mode of transportation to reach the stay.
