Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Arrive in Srinagar

    Fly in to Srinagar by afternoon and then check-in to your hotel.

    Spend the day for local sightseeing.

    Stay overnight in a beautiful houseboat looking the stars above.

  • Day 2 - Sightseeing in Srinagar

    In the morning, travel to Mulbekh but in between take as many stops to enjoy the enchanting views of the region lined by the towering peaks of the Himalayas.

    Visit attractions like the Kargil War Memorial and Kargil Mosque.

    Tonight, you will stay in luxury tents at Mulbekh.

  • Day 3 - Mulbekh to Leh

    Get a drive from Mulbekh to Leh as you pass through the Magnetic Hill and the Indus- Zanskar Confluence with visit to Lamayuru Monastery and temples of the region.

    Stay overnight in a luxury home stay in Leh.

    Distance: 175 Km.

    Drive Time: 4 Hours.

  • Day 4 - Sightseeing all around Leh.

    Today is dedicated for the local sightseeing in and around Leh which will include the heritage walk with Leh Old Town Initiative a.k.a LOTI.

    Stay overnight in Leh in a luxury home stay.

  • Day 5 - Sham Trek Day 1

    Today is the highlight of the tour happens, that is Sham Trek day 1.

    You will be travelling from Likir to Yangthang.

    Stay overnight in tents near a village home stay.

    Drive Time: 1 Hour.

    Trek Time: 4 Hour trek.

  • Day 6 - Sham Trek Day 2:

    On Sham Trek day 2, you will cover the regions extending from Yangthang to Himisshukpachen.

    Car will be waiting to take you to Chiling for Rafting in the Zanskar from Chiling to Nemo.

    Stay overnight in Leh in a luxury home stay.

    Trek time: 3 Hour

    Drive to Chiling: ½ Hour

    Rafting time: 1½ Hour

  • Day 7 - To Pangong Lake

    Today morning, get a drive to Pangong Lake and en route visit many monasteries dotted by the presence of long prayer flags and chanting.

    Stay in luxury tents at Pangong.

    Distance: 160 Km.

    Drive Time: 4 Hours.

  • Day 8 - Pangong Lake to Nubra Valley.

    Spare the day wholly for your journey from Pangong Lake to Nubra Valley.

    Visit the Diksit Monastery and the 100-foot Buddha Statue.

    Head to the Sand Dunes at Hunder for camel safari and watch sunset from here.

    Stay in luxury tents at Hunder.

    Distance: 140 Kms.

    Drive time: 3 hours.

  • Day 9 - Nubra Valley to Leh via Khardong La

    Get a memorable drive from Nubra Valley to Khardong La.

    Cycle down 40 Km from the world’s highest motorable road all the way to Leh.

    Distance to Khardong La: 80 Km - Drive Time: 2.5 Hours

    Cycling Route Distance: 40 Km - Ride Time: 2 Hours

  • Day 10 - Departure

    1. Do we have to get to Delhi by ourselves?

      Yes. Delhi would be the common meeting point. Our journey will commence from the capital but getting here will be your responsibility. Everything else post that will be taken care of by us.

    2. Where will we be staying?

      We will be supporting the locals and sharing experiences with them. We will be staying in different homestays and camps throughout the journey.

    3. What will be the mode of our transport?

      We will be using a tempo traveler which is the largest capacity of minibus available. In Ladakh, the transport options are very limited- either it’s an Innova or Scorpio or Tempo Traveller. We use a Tempo Traveller as it allows the entire group to travel together. It may not be the most comfortable drive in the world, but it’s the only horse that piles on that route. What we do for longer journeys is that we rotate the spots on the bus so that everyone gets the same experience. And yes, there will be plenty of stops for loo breaks and pictures.

    4. What is the difficulty level of rafting?

      Rafting will take place through Grad I and Grade II rapids. Professional guides will accompany us and you will be provided with all the necessary safety equipment from helmets to wet suits to life jackets.

    5. What kind of cycles will we be using from K-Top to Leh?

      We will be using professional mountain bikes by brands like Firefox. A safety vehicle will accompany us during this 3 hour cycle ride. So in case you want to opt out, you could hop into the safety vehicle. Also, you will never ride without a helmet.

    6. How many people will be on the trip?
